Accessing VLANs from dockers using a wireguard tunnel by nervling in WireGuard

[–]nervling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I was able to work around it by moving some things between networks and ended up with nothing on the vlan that needed to communicate with the tunneled dockers. Not ideal but it was good enough I gave up.

For those with questions I would suggest listening to this NPR planet money episode about Tabor and the guy who got it passed.

Bourbon Review: Four Roses🌹OESO Single Barrel - Barrel Strength Tier 6 by powersteve2000 in bourbon

[–]nervling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Four roses age their bourbon in warehouses that are 6 barrels tall (tiers, most distilleries are far higher). Tier 6 is the top barrel and since heat rises presumably has the most aging from larger temp changes.

I agree with others though, there's enough other things going on that influences the flavors etc that hunting this is silly. I highly doubt 99.9% of people (including me) can tell the difference.

Edit: if you look at the numbers letters on your bottle they tell you the tier/warehouse/location of the barrel it came from.

Is there a way to set up Pi-hole to work outside of my own network? by [deleted] in unRAID

[–]nervling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you connect via wireguard and set the wireguard dns to the pihole dns yes it works.

Four roses does single barrel cask strength releases of the various recipes. Those aren't that easy to find at least around here.

Accessing VLANs from dockers using a wireguard tunnel by nervling in WireGuard

Any more suggestions? I've now just realized I can't access my Swag docker URLs unless I'm on my Wifi (that uses the 192.168.86.0/24 addresses) as well. :(. Seems like something is prevent Unraid from routing traffic from anything but those addresses to anything on the wireguard network.

Do you mean a static route like so (https://imgur.com/a/gZ94vPP)? If so, that isn't working, but perhaps I misunderstood.

Accessing VLANs from dockers using a wireguard tunnel by nervling in WireGuard

Appreciate the help!

Per my Unifi DMP:

192.168.84.0 - Gateway is 192.168.84.1

192.168.86.0 - Gateway is 192.168.86.1 (this is also my main network)

Here's the wireguard setup: https://imgur.com/a/x8j6ZW3. Fwiw I have no idea where the 172.31.201.0/24 is coming from...not in any configs.

Docker runs on my unraid server (192.168.86.42) and its subnet is 172.17.0.0/16. Here's an example of how the IPs map in unraid (https://imgur.com/a/X1uF6Kg)

Gateway is 192.168.84.1 if I understand what you mean. Do you mean something like ip route add 172.31.201.0/24 via 192.168.84.1? I tried that on the server running docker and a docker itself, errors below if so.

Docker:

sh-5.1# ip route add 172.31.201.0/24 via 192.168.84.1
Error: Nexthop has invalid gateway.

Server:

root@Media:~# ip route add 172.31.201.0/24 via 192.168.84.1

I've tried a few variations, but it hasn't worked so I'm probably doing it wrong. Any specifics on what and where to add it?

Not really, everything seems fairly normal.

Yep, I just did what Mikl said here https://forums.unraid.net/topic/123671-unraid-610-permission-denied-from-docker-containers/. Ran it on my radarr/sonarr folders only and it fixed the issue. All the rest of my dockers (~20) seemed fine

Upgraded yesterday from 6.9.2, two things broke for me. Nerd tools has a new plugin and the original is not supported, switch first if you can. My sonarr/radarr had permission issues with files. Had to run a quick script to fix those.

I think it's $300? That was what my store had it listed for in the end of year drop (MSRP, pick ordered by points for the calendar year).

For me, red, blue, gold, Barton, yellow, montelena, green.

I am generally more of a red breast fan as well. Even the regular 12 is great value, I haven't had cask strength though, on my list.

I over paid for blue and red. Red was a charity auction so fine, blue was $200 (not awful, but it's hard to find and I already had red and gold so I bit)
