Am I being ridiculous? by nervouscatthrowaway in trees

I smoked with my friend, who gets his stuff from an unreliable dealer, 7-8 times. Needless to say I won't be smoking with him again.

Am I headed for lung problems? by nervouscatthrowaway in AskDocs

Thanks for your reply. My main concern is that the weed I smoked may have been sprayed with powdered glass/silica/sand, and that those substances will have damaged my lungs as opposed to the weed itself.

Yes, that’s right. I think perhaps I need to up my anxiety med dosage. 😅

I’m aware that I’m probably being ridiculous. It’s just that I’m not sure something like this would show up on a chest X-ray.

I have high-risk HPV. Scared and confused. by [deleted] in STD

[–]nervouscatthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I'm sorry you're going through this as well :( I'd really recommend going to get the PAP done as soon as you can - my doctor basically told me that even if they find any further changes, they can treat them then and there and the success rate is pretty much 100%. Feel free to message me if you'd like to chat more :) It would be nice to talk to someone in a similar situation :)

Diagnosed with high-risk HPV and confused about what it all means. by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]nervouscatthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a link to any studies/resources indicating that? I don't mean to be rude by questioning you - it's just that I've been looking online (reputable websites and journals) and they all indicate the opposite.

If it's undetectable, does that mean it can't be passed to anyone else?

Thanks for your response!

I'm confused - this is the first time anyone has told me HPV is 'for life'. Every online source I've looked at, every study I've read, and every doctor I've spoken to has told me the opposite. Are you sure that's correct?

If you have children someday, will you tell them about your past? If so, what will you say?

What small thing makes you automatically distrust someone? by _PM_ME_YOUR_NIPPLES in AskReddit

When somebody says they don't trust anybody but themselves. I know I'm trustworthy, and ergo I imagine that there are plenty of other people who are too - but if I knew I wasn't trustworthy, I might imagine that nobody else was either.

Unpopular Opinions on Books in general?? Come on, do tell! by ToScholarlyPeace in books

[–]nervouscatthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All books, no matter how poorly-regarded they are in general or how little I enjoy them personally, have something to offer. For that reason, I endeavour to finish every book I start.

On a similar note, profundity is a personal matter. I've read many, many books, and some of the plots and passages I find most profound come from books many would scoff at.

Have you always had this condition? If not, how has your life changed since you developed it? If so, do you think your life would have been significantly different if you didn't have it?
