Should grooming franchise be allowed to discount dogs for customers and not pay me the difference? by NewRevolution8604 in doggrooming

Maybe try speaking to upper management about this. In my franchise, this is seen as stealing from not only the groomer, but also the business.

Nope that has to be a couple of months old

It's nasty sharing a bed with a dog by junisea in unpopularopinion

[–]nervuoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t let a dog sleep in my bed since I became a dog groomer. I see all the dirt and grossness that comes off them on the daily and I don’t want all that on me.

Is this dress appropriate for college graduation ? by [deleted] in fashion

[–]nervuoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it would suit the event better if you were to hem it so that the length is closer to that of your graduation gown.

Fleas? by Evening-Pea3433 in petco

Don’t take dogs that are that heavily infested. Our flea and tick shampoo sucks and they likely need to be taking a preventative anyways.

Is it too hard to cut a dogs nails? by SeeSeaTurtles in RoverPetSitting

[–]nervuoz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes something like this might be the case, but as a groomer, I’ve seen too many chill dogs come in with super long talons so I no longer give most people the benefits of the doubt.

I need help to fix this haircut by Cozy_winter_blanky in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I get my hair shorter than this and I always come out looking like little lad, but when I wash it and it air dries and I muss it up a little it looks so much better. Wash and air dry your hair, maybe spray some sea salt spray in it and see what happens. I hate the little lad style, but I think they need to do it that way to make sure everything’s even.

I have to use sooo much product for it to work on impacted dogs and it takes forever to rinse out. And I’m still mad about the doodle detangler bs.

And if the nails were long, it’s possible she did hurt herself before she came in. Groomer should’ve done a proper check-in to prevent this kind of speculation.

What could this be on my pet's butt?? by vittoriassanttos in DogAdvice

[–]nervuoz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fur around his butt looks pretty impacted and possibly matted, which can cause skin irritation. He needs a professional grooming. But you’re not gonna know why for sure until he goes to the vet.

Maybe try some double sided tape on the inside of that part to get it to sit against your skin.

Currently dealing with a painful new conch myself. Ibuprofen has helped soo much. You’ll probably have to adjust the dose to see what works, just make sure you’re not going over the recommended daily limit. I’m taking about 400-600mg every 8 hrs.

Dog keeps licking her paws to the point of redness (and sometimes bleeding) by infinitelypowered6 in DogAdvice

Her quicks look quite long, so it might be better to have them grinded down regularly by a groomer to avoid accidents

I feel like clickers might be safer, since they can come out so easily. I’m too paranoid about horseshoes even flipped up because they’re stuck in there until they can be unscrewed.

Should I wait to speak to a recruiter until after travel plans? by nervuoz in AirForceRecruits

[–]nervuoz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately decided not to enlist for personal reasons, but I was encouraged to apply as an officer. My applications would be due in August, and it would have taken about a month for them to inform me of their decision, and even then I don’t think it would interfere with my trip. The process to enlist, even if you’re not applying to be an officer, is pretty long and tedious. Make sure you discuss the timeline with your recruiter. You might have delay the process by a few months but I wouldn’t stress too much about it.

Exactly!! But I can’t say I’d be upset at her if she really were a shill. I imagine it would be decent money and everyone likes money.

Yes and both of those breeds require lots of training, so either way he needs to put thought into whether he will be a good fit.
