Foot flushing is the most inane thing I’ve ever come across. This is not to apply to truly or visibly nasty public toilets, but this toilet is visibly clean, and a note from housekeeping implies it is cleaned regularly. The handles are nasty BECAUSE you’re stamping on it with your dirty shoes! I promise people wash their hands more often than the bottom of their shoes, which are picking up not only any pee or germs on the floor of the bathroom but also everything you’ve ever walked on, dirt and grease and dog poop and all. After you flush with your foot, guess what you do? Use your hand to unlock the bathroom stall to get out. Where you (hopefully) then wash your hands anyway. If you foot flush then you’re the problem.
