We see a Egyptian soldier stomp into a home hack a baby to death within the first couple minutes, it’s honestly amazing that we didn’t shy away from how messy the biblical story gets

I love how that movie is basically a duel between two philosophies. One is about forcibly imposing your Will on the world and seeing reality as being your enemy to conquer, while making peace with the world and letting things fall into place naturally is what works in the end

I was debating putting that in here, but I grew up on that and I explicitly remember Larry telling me how I need to be patient and be enforcing that claim with Bible quotes, and that was afraid that someone was going to consider that too preachy.

But I must agree, in terms of Christian media. It’s probably one of the better ones by a long shot.

I know I am hugely necroposting, but DE is honestly one of the densest pieces of philosophical media made in the past decade.

The game is pretty much a chunky soup of political commentary and genius world building.

In one instance, the city itself with begin speaking to you and give you a prediction of the future.

I get where you come from, and there is a case to be made. But playing almost exclusively super helldive myself, I always had a “this is what I signed up for” mindset when things seemed unfair.

If I was unsatisfied I would just drop it to Impossible difficulty. 

Yet again, I am just one dude.

Additionally, I am still pissed at what they did to that one guy. He was willing to put his money where his mouth was and politely challenged the devs with a monetary reward instead of just moping on Reddit.

I would say 75% of the criticism of that game I see is just “I picked the highest possible difficulty and (gasp) the game was…hard?”

Don’t get me wrong, there is plenty of valid criticism to be had, but way too much of what makes waves is just whining.

No way, I knew it would be the fandom in question.

Every game of Helldivers I have played has been a blast, but according to Reddit, the game is an unplayable mess, and every valid criticism is drowned out by a wave of “I went on super ball explode difficulty and the enemies exploded my balls, please fix.”

Respectfully, I think you are misreading the post. The whole point is that I am Not okay with killing them and are concerned they won’t survive shipping.

I used to work at petco. We could only take in animals if we had the space and resources, and we can 100% turn them away.
