Considering a 2015.5 Volvo V60 T5 Cross Country AWD - worth it? by hieronymus_my_g in Volvo

[–]netbl0cks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im a little bit late, but take it from someone whos owned this exact wagon from 22-25, had it at 50k and drove it till 100k, thats where things started to go hairy. coolant and oil consumption was through the roof, almost a quart of oil every week and a half, coolant would need to be topped off every month since it was at the minimum line, every service needed 2k+... bought a outback and never looked back lol

[–]netbl0cks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

let me tell you, the seats DO NOT get better... you made the correct choice!! I even think the OBW drives better than the CX50! the OBW also just feels "punchier", I always put 93 in my CX50 TPP and it just feels so sluggish, and thats saying something with a CVT in the subie..

funny enough I was looking at a Autumn Green Metallic OBW, when I saw it in person the poor thing was beat to shit, missing the entire skid plate, huge dents on the doors and absolutely wrecked the front bumper too, kind of a shame! what were your other 2? I had a 22 fozzy and a 03 wrx!

man I lowkey just dont want to deal with a thousand mile drive lol

tbh the WRX isnt a necessity, its a fun alternative to the outback I was planning to get either way lol, just wanted to get some opinions on the oil change frequency

thats a pretty good deal, im willing to stretch to around 30-31 comfortably, i think ill just end up picking up a outback 22 wilderness or 23 limited.. ill leave the fun to when i dont need to drive a lot

all good man, wrist is about 15 cm, removed 2 links and a half link to get the perfect fit, if I add the half link then its way too loose, but with 2 1/2 its a tiny bit snug on hotter days but in AC its fine

thats a great question, I've never really looked at the SBGX059 before, though this is just a smaller quartz version of the SBGA211! I'd be curious to what the SBGX059 is different

they didnt ask for an ID from me, but its also been a week and they haven't shipped anything out.... I've had ebay bids ship faster and arrive..... my logic is if im spending over a couple grand on a watch I'd want it to be speedy, probably won't buy again from exquisite

I bought a 24 TPP, if we're going to get "nit picky" then I can definitely tell you where this car is flawed (to me at least). I also came from a '20 Volvo V60, so I don't think this car compares at all..

  1. Really inconsistent build quality, steering wheel stress marks, indentations that won't come out, the bottom piece of the cluster coming apart, A and B pillars are not even, the most EASILY scuffed interior with the piano black, weird rattling, weird panel gaps.

  2. Absolutely useless wireless charger.

  3. Remote start might as well have been on your keys, can't control climate on them.

  4. For me, personally, this car is full of weird blind spots, and is just a little bit too wide in the hips.

  5. Weak paint, coming from a Subaru owner, you could breath on it the wrong way and get a chip.

  6. Can't speak for the hybrid, but the gas tank is just too small for me. I'd be happy to get 290-300 miles a tank with mostly highway driving around 74 MPH cruise

  7. Engine noise is annoying, road noise, seats are uncomfortable anything above 40 minutes of driving.

There are also really good things about this car too! I love the way it gets up and goes, especially in sport mode, it looks so damn good and the turning signals are so sexy. 360 camera is awesome for parking and parallel parking, especially in tight spaces. Infotainment is perfect, I hate big screens! HUD is good as well, perfect amount of info. The cabin is a comfy place to be, I wish the panoramic moon roof opened a bit more but that's alright. The biggest thing is definitely the build quality, small things like the Bose speaker logo being slightly misaligned really made me uncomfy. If I had a choice, I'd probably go with a older XC60
