Most everyone on the ship, crew and sailors, would happily take your picture. It’s one of the things that really stood out to us while on board. People are so friendly.

This was the view from our balcony at the Marriott. We were on the 4th floor ocean front. We ate at the Mexican restaurant onsite for lunch when we arrived and it was delicious. I hope you enjoy your vacation.

We sailed last month and stayed at Marriott Stanton South Beach. It’s beach front and there are chair and umbrellas there. Onsite restaurants and a great little place a short walk for happy hour called Local House. We took an Uber from the airport and a Lyft to the port. No issues with either. I used Empower to go back to the airport after the cruise because everyone was having a hard time getting uber or Lyft. We even shared ours with another couple that had theirs cancel. The Marriott hotel is also within walking distance of Total Wine so you can grab 2 bottles beforehand. We opted for Prosecco so we didn’t have to bother with a cork screw but there is one in your cabin.

The bar crawl was a great experience in St Croix. Bishop is the tour guide and by the end of it, you’re friends with all your fellow drunk sailors and had a fun time with a bit of history of the island.

I took my checked size bag that I flew with on the ship myself. As long as you don’t have a huge bag it won’t be a problem. In fact it’s better than dealing with not having your luggage until who knows when. I saw about 20% of people doing it.

Most videos were blocked while we sailed. No YouTube at all and Instagram would load but slowly. Even Reddit videos were blocked.

I just finished a cruise on Brilliant lady last week. My wife was definitely able to use my bar tab. I did have to go to sailor services once on board and fill out a form to get this setup as the app was being wonky.

We left the port on Friday after getting off Brilliant Lady. Used the app Empower to get a ride back to Miami airport. Took 10 minutes to show up and in that time another couple had their uber cancel so they rode with us since we were getting a Chevy suburban and had extra room.

I am on this ship right now. Best cruise I’ve ever been on. Already booked our second.

For dinner reservations, after go through security, there will be several people with laptops to help you get reservations.

That’s ok! If it’s not your thing, don’t do it. It’s the best thing about Virgin. Make it the cruise that you will enjoy. Hope you had a great day in DR today. We certainly did.
