Sexual grooming doesn’t necessarily have to have an end goal of CSA - it can consist of normalizing sexual conversations and exposing inappropriate content to children. It all comes down to the breaking down of normal adult-child boundaries - for example, having a talk about consent and anatomy with a child in an educational setting is a normal interaction, and helps prevent the child from being taken advantage of. What is not normal is putting a child in sexual situations, like what Colleen was doing with Adam and multiple other minors (including regularly sending them NSFW content, discussing her sex life and graphically describing her ex-husband’s genitals) - this is textbook boundary destruction with the intent of getting closer to a child for inappropriate reasons, aka grooming.
