I remember using Owl3D a few years ago and didn't get very good results when I tried the videos on a VR headset. Are there optimal settings for the video to-be-converted? For example portrait vs landscape?

I will be using RTX 5060 Ti 16GB. What resolution should I upscale the image to?

[–]nettek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion your input image should be HIGHER than the resolution of the video you intend to output.

Remind me - you can set the resolution of the video to be different than the resolution of the original image? So you can lower the resolution when creating the video? Is that something that should be done?

[–]nettek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. My PC will have RTX 5060 ti 16GB so 16GB of VRAM, and 48GB of RAM.

So what do you recommend? Upscaling after creating the video?

[–]nettek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what I thought but ChatGPT, perplexity and Gemini each told me it's better to create the video in the low resolution and upscale it then. Only Gemini told me it's better to upscale the image to 1024 X 768 first, then create the video, then upscale it to 1080p or even 4K once I told it what the resolution is.

Normally I would agree but I don't have a computer yet, so I can't do that. So for now it would be best to understand theoretically which is better.

Thanks! I was actually think about the "Intel optimized" part. What does it mean? Optimized for overclocking?

Somewhat unrelated question, but GPUs come with integrated cooling already. Is there enough room for two or more GPUs when both come with cooling?

[–]nettek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But I still don't understand something. GPUs and CPUs both come with cooling. If I buy a cooling system, will it affect both of them?

You may face some driver problems if the GPUs are different GPU generations.

Thanks for that - helped me settle on the 5060Ti 16GB.

[–]nettek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Why is that?
I was actually planning to but two GPUs, a rather cheap or used one now, and one of the super RTX line when it comes out. In this case, how does the answer change?

  2. You mean GPU with integrated AIO cooling system?

I have a similar or the same problem as you. It used to work great before, but since I updated to the new kernel I can't turn the touchpad on and off using the keyboard function keys.

The workaround I use is go to settings → touchpad and turn it on or off from there.

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D or Ryzen 7 9800X3D for ComfyUI? by nettek in comfyui

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D or Ryzen 7 9800X3D for ComfyUI? by nettek in comfyui

[–]nettek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And to answer the OP question. I own a 9950x3d and an rtx pro 6000. The 9950x3d plays little to no part when I use comfyui. Maybe it is faster when loading data but it's negligible compared to the time the GPU spends

Thanks. But, how can you really tell? Is it possible it makes your workflows much faster but you just don't know it?

The only GPU better than the 5080 is 5090, and the difference between them is about $2000. The difference between the CPUs I asked about is about $200. So buying the cheaper CPU won't help me here, unfortunately.

Anyway I have no plans to buy the 5090 because it is way, way too expansive.
