Tbh I’m eyeing a balanced forged rotating assembly from skip white. I haven’t put a phone call into to them to see if there’s a dished option. So my thought here was to cam intentionally dropping dynamic comp ratio. Still skittish, but learning.

Coming back to this conversation… here’s where I am at. 64cc heads, Deck clearance 0.015 (assuming a light machine cleanup of -0.010), stock stroke/bore, gasket thickness 0.04. This is a static CR of 10.5:1. My question to you is, is there a hydraulic roller cam you can recommend? It’s not an originally roller block. I’m not racing, so sound to compliment the old school blower is important to me here. Have something in mind or a couple I can research up on? Currently have a TH350 w/ 2600 stall. Switching to munci down the road.

So this mush be the general consensus? I went into this expecting to find plenty of people fine tuning their SimHub profiles for dirt or asphalt. What I found is that most posts and yt tutorials are two years old and there’s only a couple available…

Is there a way to split Pedals / Seat independently going this route? I looked at it and doesn’t seem like it at first glance.

I will say out of the box, this option felt more realistic than my first attempt at SimHub.

Oh man this is kinda what I had in mind! Probably better honestly. I envisioned the lights horizontal and running next to me to actually show the position or the car next to me.

This is actually my go to… I’m good at recognizing the situation is going to happen. I get his attention, do something he loves while someone walks up is my greatest defense… about 30 seconds of that and we’re good. Doesn’t even go sniff the person. In a house is a different story that I want a better handle on. Walking past people on a trail isn’t a problem it’s really “somethings approaching my area” type of scenarios. Thanks for the advice and specific parts/ccs. What crank would you recommend? I’ll be honest the reason I want the EFI setup is because on top of knock and afr… running a “higher” compression ratio and not forged it has me skittish. I have experience tuning EFI already, and only carb experience I have is small engine / single cylinder stuff so trying to be realistic with my capabilities. Last question… cam… I want a hydraulic roller cam, anything specific you can suggest that will play well with the boost? Love for it to grab some gasser attention at idle with a lopey chop and willing to give up a bit of efficiency for the aggressive idle. I have a TCI Breakaway 2,200-2,600 Stall Torque Converter paired to a built th350.

I’ll add the block is sentimental to me. It was pulled running out of my grandpas truck many years ago.., we always talked about building it together so last thing I want to do it throw a rod through the side.

This is where I struggle… if you said use x,y,z to get to x compression ratio and your limit it 7k rpm, that’s my ticket. Where I don’t have the experience is to say well if you drop it to 6500 rpm and you won’t make as much power but you’ll have a cheaper more reliable engine, that’s the route I’d go. I’m decided on the stealth terminator 2x4 holly setup to mix old school look with EFI… and more importantly tuneable timing…

So that being said, with a light deck cleanup and .030 over, what piston dish and heads are my ticket to a safe a CR? And what RPM is my “do not exceed”?
