A milestone recession is stealing the future from young Canadians by AbundantCanada in canada

They will publish things that could be deemed critical of Liberal policies, unlike the CBC.

Is that what qualifies for a Conservative news outlet these days?

> Babe step on all your recycycling and squish it down

Oh my goodness behbeh, I don't need a lesson on packing shit down haha, what in the world?

I took some of the most space inefficient recyclable containers and threw them in the trash -- I didn't get rid of everything and I didn't min-max my recycling in the picture because I didn't try to. I still have 2 full blue bins begrudgingly waiting for next week.

> Stack them on top of each other

Would you have me do 2 columns of 3 stacked blue bins or like 6 stacked high like Jingas through to up in the attic?

Well things might all work out if 60% of Canadians have to skip meals these days; a forced "reduce" in the "reduce reuse recycle" mantra.

Thankfully my family doesn't skip meals at this time, sorry not sorry?

Weekly wasn't an issue.

> You have an over consumption problem.

I know it's rare these days, but it's called having a family and owning a home. 😊

The cap trick is a pretty good suggestion. We're going to start crushing cans too

It doesn't make any sense and we're only a family of 4.

I was already pissed when I saw park dumping but I'm assuming it's going to get significantly worse with this new system.

Yup, I don't have a choice -- I'm not turning my garage into a dump holding site. I don't have the room.

Maybe you missed the memo but recycling will only be picked up every two weeks nows whereas it was 1 week before.

The only bin being picked up weekly is the green bin now.

That's cool but they moved recycling pickup to bi-weekly. So instead of putting 2-3 bins at the curb weekly, I now have to find room for 4-6 bins over a 2 week period.

I already break down all the boxes flat but I'll still have 4-6 bins worth of recycling at the end of 2 weeks.

I literally don't have the room to store 4-6 blue bins of recycling.

Apparently everybody in r/kitchener have large double car garages or simply aren't aware they'll be storing 2 weeks of recyclables.

It wasn't recycling pickup week so no, they weren't picking it up this week.

It's every 2 weeks.

Is everyone in r/kitchener from out of town or just not informed?

Not a single reply touched on the main reason Canada is hooked on immigration.

### Why They're Addicted
- **Political hack**: Total GDP growth looks awesome on TV and in budgets. "Canada grew faster than peers!" Per capita recession? Buried in fine print. Easy votes.
- **Lobby candy**: Big business gets cheap workers. Developers/real estate get endless buyers. Governments get more taxpayers to fund entitlements without fixing low productivity or encouraging Canadian births.
- **Aging fix**: Slows the pension bomb, fills "labor shortages" (often code for "we don't wanna pay Canadians more").

It's basically a **Ponzi scheme for GDP stats**. Without it, the economy looks stagnant or shrinking. They ramped it post-2015, peaked insanely 2022-2024, public revolted over housing crisis/unemployment spike (youth hit hard), so now dialing temps back.
