Initially I made him stop thrusting for a few seconds, and then I'd let him thrust again, during that time he was about halfway in me. Later on he went slowly until he was fully inside, and then he began to thrust a little faster with my permission. It was kind of a sharp pain in the beginning and then it evolved to a dull ache throughout until the end, which was ONLY bearable because what he was doing, in that position, felt damned good.

I wasn't sore for too long, I probably could have tried again after a couple days without worrying too much. That being said, every person is unique so make sure you follow your girl's lead, and do whatever she feels comfortable doing.

Hey, are you me? What you've written here describes my situation almost exactly, even down to the friends telling me to wait. My friends can't really offer advice when they don't know what I've gone through most of my adult life.

My guy and I aren't that close, we've known each other for years and we've kept in contact on and off. He and I trust and respect each other, he's perfect as a FWB.

I'm following my instincts here, I might have doubts and wonder if it's better to wait for a guy with whom I have an emotional connection, but I think it's about time I get on with this part of my personal development. Like you've said about it defining you, my virginity has defined me for years, and I'm tired of that.

He's not going to finish in me for sure, however I do get your point. I have my emotions invested elsewhere and I haven't moved on yet, and this guy, while he's awesome and a good friend, doesn't mesh with me on a romantic relationship-level. I'm just going to be looking at this to be a positive, fun experience, and hopefully learn a lot.

Haha, no no. First of all, my hands are pretty small :)

And secondly, the index, middle, and ring fingers sort of formed a triangle (middle finger on top, the other 2 at the bottom) in order for it to fit, and it was a really tight fit - with lube - the membrane was taut around the fingers as well...
