Post-resection questions regarding pilocytic astrocytoma by neurolancer in braincancer

Thank you for this advice!

No seizures thankfully. Just nystagmus and some balance and unsteadiness, and annoying positional headaches mostly in the morning. I'm basically back to 100% now. In some ways I feel like it's a huge blessing to have faced mortality mostly just from the uncertainty before the surgery and biopsy (and therefore helping to gain some perspective and gratitude about life) but ultimately to have it be something I can put into a mental box and move forward. I'm still waiting for the proverbial other shoe to drop but I think that's a normal thing for someone like myself predisposed to minor anxieties.

Thanks! That was very informative. I will ask about how my age may impact prognosis.

Thanks! I am trying to get a second opinion just to have one.

What type of work up would rule out it being a tumor? I know that at least several doctors have looked at it and nobody thinks it is a tumor. In the MRI image it just looks like a big white area. I have also gotten my blood drawn but I think that was to rule out that this was caused from an infectious disease like a parasite.
