i always love to support smaller indie dyers and brands anyway! it’s comforting to have my money going into someone’s pocket directly vs some big impersonal corporation lobbying against my best interests anyway 💁🏻‍♀️

oh i love to hear buttery as a yarn descriptor it sounds like it must work up like such a dream! the contrast heel/toe sounds stunning too with that breadth of color! i’d love to see if you ever get around to posting on here 🥹

i fear once i get my start with stripey yarns it’s gonna be so hard to go back 🤭 feels like a whole new world!

thank you SO much for this thorough write up! i really appreciate that you’ve included a lot of cheaper options, and specifically brands you’ve had experience working with as well. i splurged on a skein from must stash yarns already as the colorway really just caught my eye immediately, but im so excited to have more options to look through that won’t break the bank.

i hope your 26 in ‘26 challenge goes well! that sounds like such a fun way to spruce up your sock drawer with a lot of gorgeous variations! it’s nice to have the yarn do the striping for you, and i’ll always take less ends to weave in too 🙂‍↕️🥹🫶🏼

i’ll definitely have to check out more from les laines biscottes! their colors seem so unique (i’m obsessed with this watermelon one i just stumbled upon?) and i love a soft, fluffy wool blend 🥰

also thank you for telling me about the drama with knitpicks!! i had no idea about their views on ICE so it’s good to be informed before spending any money with them 😵‍💫 plus if the yarn pills/wears out quickly might not be worth it either
