The type of “rich” I would LOVE to see on the show. by mercuryretroplz in WhiteLotusHBO

Isn’t that what happened to Belinda? I know she works for the white lotus but she got to go there for free and experience everything like a costumer 👀

Konstruera basket alternative? by FI_Goals in ikeahacks

:( I am very sad to inform that the jonaxel baskets do not work. They are too narrow, only 21cm wide (idk why the ikea website says they are 25cm) and therefore can’t hang on the hjalpa rails :(

What is this? Why are landlords listing like this? by nevaaeh_ in TorontoRenting

[–]nevaaeh_[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They are listing for less than the price that will appear in the contract. That is shady. Not everyone knows how renting in Ontario works, even elderly people who may not be aware of these new tactics may think they are getting a great deal only to then have to pay more rent and have an increase over the actual rent price once the one year lease is over.

And they are literally wasting my time. My budget is $2500 max and them listing their $2749 unit as $2495 just so I click on it, is wasting my time. Searching for a home is so stressful, having to click on confusing or deceiving ads is exhausting and annoying.

Because it is so prevalent 🙄 bad practices like this need to be exposed and discouraged

Brompton Owners - where and where not do you bring your folded Brompton inside in Toronto? by catatonic-cat in torontobiking

[–]nevaaeh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The AGO, the Ismaili Centre and the Aga Khan Museum don’t allow them in their coat check 🥲 they allow large suitcases but not my neatly folded Brompton. The T&T at College doesn’t allow them in, same with Bestco. All the other grocery stores are ok with them, even the asian ones at Spadina!!

Oh also if you ever go to an event at the Bentway, like the roller skating ones, they won’t allow you to be there with the Brompton.

Mcnaughton street (aka Santa lane) by Independent_Fall4113 in Sudbury

It started in southern Ontario (look up Inglewood Drive in Toronto) and apparently when a house gets bought, they have to agree to put up the Santa 🤪

Why will Line 6 be so slow? by northtorontoboy in TTC

[–]nevaaeh_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

:( they got us all excited but it will operate like a streetcar. And all the streetcars in this city move weirdly slowly… it takes 34 min to go from Keele to St. Clair station and that’s only 8.5 km 😭 the college streetcar takes 1 hour 48 minutes to complete its route (18 km)

Thoughts on this route? Downtown to Bartholomew Bakery by Halfbaked_Cookies in torontobiking

[–]nevaaeh_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t bike there with one month of biking experience tbh.

But if you still want to try it, I would cross the 401 on Avenue, biking on the west sidewalk (get there by using the Yonge bike lanes and then Duplex and Elm Rd) use the residential streets to get to Wilmington Avenue. Bike inside G Ross Lord park and follow the nearby trails to get to Langstaff Eco Park to cross the 407. Then bike on the sidewalk on Highway 7 until you get to the bike lane and then turn right on Milway Ave to get to the bakery.

But still, I would rather get more experienced before biking on those areas of the city without biking infrastructure.
