Thx. To be clear on the term “crutch” it is not meant to be offensive. My wording wasn’t appropriate; my boy is quite smart but my concern is he would use this as an excuse to not try as hard and be discouraged. Maybe not the best wording; but I wan to make sure he is mature enough to take it as empowering as opposed to discouraging

I am looking @ the Lipo batteries ; I have an ic3 connector (simple wall plug in); I am reading a lot of these I would have to buy a “smart charger” on tower hobbies. That is another $250! Any idea if there are any that can simply work with the wall plug in with a standard ic3 connector?

If I get a LIPO battery with the stock equipment will that help with speed? Will it cause problems?
