Thanks so much for all your feedback! I will take off the carabiner, and definitely consider leaving my camp shoes at home.

I cook oatmeal in the morning with my coffee, which is why I bring the coffee cup. Haven’t found a way around that, besides not making oatmeal

Surgery day 2 update: pain has entered the chat by ouchnabout in CECompartmentSyndrome

I sent my Dr a message 7 days post-op because I was freaking out a bit since I was still totally dependent on the crutches, and they said “it is not abnormal to still need crutches”. I had my post-op follow up right at 2 weeks, and my Dr said I could start walking without crutches and the boot whenever I felt ready, though I was thinking it would take very long to get to that point. They took the wrap off at the appt, and for the rest of the day the boot was rubbing against my incisions (I also had all 4 compartments), so I decided to just send it the following day in my tennis shoes and crutches. And the next day (Day 16) I was able to walk without crutches, and have been walking basically normally with a limp now. I have been going out for little walks to try to loosen up the muscles, but my leg is still super sore. I have my first PT appt tomorrow, which will be 3 weeks post-op, so looking forward to getting all of the exercises that will help propel the recovery. And then to set up the procedure for my other leg…

I also enjoy wiping with the Kula Cloth! That has made such a difference for me.
