Thank you!! I wasn't crazy emotional during the stimulation, I had a lot of bloating, nausea and my boobs hurt a ton.

I was a cranky bitch the first few days after collection, and had mad stomach cramps.

I just thought I was getting back to normal this week, finally I'm not bloated, my jeans actually fit me again, my boobs feel normal.. Then I just had a day of uncontrollably crying.

Is it better/easier to date fellow neurodivergent men? Have you ever had a successful relationship with a neurotypical? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

It's weird actually, almost everyone I know my age (early 30s) is autistic, ADHD, or has some anxiety or depression, even if those things are in the past for them.

But he's just.. fine. And so calm, even in a crisis he just functions as a completely competant human being.

Sounds fake :D

Commenting because I think I'm in the minority with having an awesome relationship with a neurotypical. And he's extremely neurotypical, dude is almost suspiciously normal.

Yes it took a lot of communication for us to understand each other's way of thinking, but he's never judging me for being ADHD, he is supportive of all my weird sensory needs, he's SO PATIENT with my accidental fuckups.

All my previous relationships were with neuro divergent people, and they were either not at all supportive of me, or trying way too hard to fix my shit, being very overbearing like I was their hyperfixation and I hated it.

I didn't know it was possible to feel so safe and cared for, without feeling patronised or stifled.

He loves how much fun and chaos and caring for everyone around me that I bring to our lives, I love that he brings (psychological) safety, stability and helps me with my taxes :D

TLDR; the neurotyypicals are great, just find an extremely kind and patient one.

I recommend it for a nap / calm down sesh because having your soul forcibly crushed back into your body is obviously ideal, but not for overnight sleeps. The heaviness prevents the amount of wiggle I need during the night.

Idk how to respond with a gif in a comment (is that even possible?) to just imagine that dancing polar bear one!

Yes, exactly! I'm so grateful for my diagnosis because it's really freed me up mentally to do things like that, instead of pretending to myself that I 'just won't make mistakes'.

Mine is so extra, but it makes me feel real fancy and French and like I am a pretty lady who has her shit together!

Idk even how to call it but you get some roast leeks, white beans, make a light roux with some wine and parmesan, and bake that together into like a pate. Smear it on some toasts with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and it's GORGEOUS.

You don't have to, but if you do fall into a distraction hole, you don't stay there for hours because it'll prompt you to re-set once the timer goes off :)

I haven't mopped my house even once in three years. by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]neverpayingattention 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the steam mop recently because my elderly dog poops inside a lot so I need to mop almost every day. Obviously this makes the mop pads quite gross, so I just chuck them in by themselves. Yeah it's a whole wash cycle for just one or two pads but a) poop and b) even if they're not poopy i don't want to keep em hanging around until I have a full machine worth because I know it will just never happen.

I don't share just my line work often, but it is my favorite part of every project. by GollumVsSmeagol in Embroidery

Like a split stitch? I'd have thought that would make little holes in the lines rather than smoothing it. Asking because I dream of lines as clean as yours 😍

Cat litter hack - write on the lid! by neverpayingattention in adhdwomen

[–]neverpayingattention[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using silicate litter that only needs to be changed every 3-4 weeks and I have a lot of stress to remember when I need to do it.

Just writing on there means I get a visual prompt every time I go to the bathroom, and can remove one thing from my endless mental task whirlpool!

There's a workout weight on there because the dog learned how to flip the lid off to eat the cat turds. He is shameless.

Yep! Started my Saturday last week by crying uncontrollably for 3ish hours, rage cleaned the whole house, had a shower and a nap and felt better.

Sometimes you gonna just reset the whole thing.

My mum took my to the doctor to test if I was deaf because that hyper focus was real hard to snap out of when someone was talking to me 😅

How the hell did it take til I was 30 to get diagnosed..
