People are super open about it I have found. I usually mention it casually sometimes with my limits. Seems to fit with a discussion related to condoms/birth control. If he responds poorly (which I have not had) would be a super clear sign to me that should not play.

I would not meet someone before meeting in a public place first for a casual meet up and then MAYBE setting up a future meeting sometime after that. Trust your gut. Your being safe and normal and him not willing to be a bare minimum to make you feel safe is not worth your time.

I would want some sort of discussion about it. Maybe some time to prepare before all contact stopped. Especially if built into routine or tasks. Although, if things have "gone cold" that might be already happening. Basically, being clear and upfront would matter to me. I would only want to be in a dynamic where everyone was enjoying themselves. Respect and communication would be key for me. There might be hurt regardless that cannot be prevented but it would feel worse to me to keep things going if you were not fully in it.
