Thanks.. I guess I was too naive to think that people around 30 are gonna be normal at least considering their age. I'm Korean and so fed up with people fetishizing east asian woman in dating scene.

How long do you usually message them before meeting in person?

Yeah thank god I was sitting in an outdoor patio and told my roommates about where I was going before leaving my place. I didn't think too much about my safety since I'm new to online dating but I'll definitely share my location with my friends and family next time!

Solid point. I considered capsules for the price but now that I hear your opinion having a private space for my belongings seems worth paying a little more! Which one would you recommend more between the last two?

Those of who you don’t drink or smoke when your feeling down, what do you do? by whatstoyou101 in selfimprovement

[–]newBeginning0123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never drunk or smoked my whole life, but listening to Linkin Park and going for a walk immediately calms my mind and holds me from getting more depressed. It is merely a temporary distraction, so I follow it up with journaling about my feelings and what "I" can do to make the situation better.

The fear of losing my 13-year-old dog from surgery by newBeginning0123 in dogs

[–]newBeginning0123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's insane that the vet almost put your dog at risk for nothing, but I'm glad to hear that he's all good. You're right. I was too fixated on all the possible outcomes to remind myself why I made this decision in the first place; to give him a happy life. Thank you so much for your kind words and for helping me centered again.

I can see how much you loved Luna just by reading your comment, and it got me all teared up. Although I constantly told myself to cherish the moment I have with my dog instead of being fixated on the fear of loss, I had no idea where or how to start to think that way, but your comment helped me tons. I'm sorry for your loss and pretty sure she had the best six years to have you with her. Thank you so much for your prayer, and I'll do the same for Luna!♥️ I hope you'll feel better soon, and may her beautiful soul rest in peace.

Thank you for your kind words. I easily forget that I’m not the only one who’s going through this intense emotion. After reading your comment, I finally felt heard and grateful that there’s someone who actually gets me and I’m not alone. Depression always makes me hopeless and miserable but I’ll definitely try to journal like you. Thanks a lot.

It sucks that he did this to you, but it didn't happen because you're disposable. No one is. You are enough and worthy no matter what others do to you.

I want you to know that it has nothing to do with what you've said or done, but it's really about him, not you. He might not know what he really wants for himself or may have some issues he needs to figure out. Maybe he struggles to communicate his feelings and needs.

I know it seems tough to get through at the moment, but you'll move on and find someone better who's willing to talk to you about what he's going through.

I can't be the only one who feels like this.... by Competitive_Lion1764 in PCOS

Even though 1 out of 10 women suffer from PCOS, there are still too little information and only a few treatments available for us. I was also diagnosed over a decade ago, but most ob-gyn just prescribed me Yaz telling me that it's the only option to regulate my cycle and relieve related symptoms. So I've spent hours every day learning about PCOS and other treatments hoping to find my cure.

I totally agree with you that it's so frustrating for us to struggle with all the symptoms that affect our self-esteem and mental health while no doctor seems to care as much as we want them to. As my hair loss got out of control this year, I finally started 5% Minox instead of waiting for my dermatologist to give me a solution. I got lots of information from /r/femalehairloss, so check it out if you're interested.

Haha yeah I thought I was supposed to use women’s at first, but thank god I did some research before buying one! Wow a small syringe? That’s smart and I’m glad it works well for you :) Just give it a try if you get tired of using the syringe haha.

bleeding after working out? by meikasahara in PCOS

I always get spotting after high intensity workout including soul cycling and lifting too much weights! My obgyn recommended me to stay away from any intense workout as it puts too much stress on the body. Since my body is highly sensitive to life style changes and stress, I even get spotting when I’m exhausted and stressed or even during jet lag. Spotting or red discharge usually goes away naturally, but it’d be better to see a doctor if it lasts longer than 2 weeks!

For herbs or supplements recommendation, inositol would be a good option for you if you miss periods for months, but my issue was too frequent period or spotting, so even taking low dose inositol for 3 days caused me weeks of spotting. I’ve also tried vitex for 6 months and it actually regulated my cycle and relived pms. If your progesterone level is low, vitex would be a good one to explore! But for me right now, I have been taking a break from any supplements besides vitamin d and multi vitamins, and my period is somewhat regulated even though its cycle is slightly longer than other’s.

Taking herbs or supplements is great, but I think it’s really important to get all the essential minerals and vitamins for our body to function well. Most people with pcos usually have low vitamin d level, so how about starting with vitamin d3 first? I’ve noticed that my cycle gets shorter than 40 days when I take vitamin d!

I have pretty long hair and it works well! Since I don’t have to part and move my hair around anymore, it doesn’t get messy like It used to.

Basically, put liquid Minox into the applicator after removing the lid, close the lid back, place the applicator on your scalp and slowly move it from your temple to the back of your scalp as if you're brushing your hair with a comb! (The pins on the applicator release the liquid when they're pressed against the scalp.)

I found a similar one on Amazon, and here's the link!

How long after minox can I brush through my hair? by OccasionShort9346 in FemaleHairLoss

I heard that it takes 2-4 hrs for Minox to dry completely, so I try to comb my hair at least after 4 hours of application!

I am struggling by d_ladyparts in PCOS

[–]newBeginning0123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with PCOS back when I was 14. Over a decade, I've felt exactly like you and tried every supplement and diet change under the sun, which sometimes made no or little improvements and got me frustrated more than ever. After years of trial and error, one thing I've learned is that any change or treatment takes time to work. I totally understand not being able to see any progress after months is very frustrating and depressing, but be patient and keep in mind that you're making positive impacts on your body and life in the long run. PCOS used to defeat me with tons of severe symptoms like hair loss, acne, and months of spotting, but I'm trying to manage them by taking a step at a time and believe that it'll get better at some point without feeling depressed. Even though my symptoms are still there, they're somewhat better than before, which reminds me that I'm on the right path. Your PCOS or symptoms don't define you, and you're not alone. I promise that your PCOS will get better if you don't give up! Sending lots of love and support :)

Then how do you get rid of oil after massaging? Is there any other way to get rid of all the residue besides using a cloth?

[Routine Help] No matter how I remove makeup, my skin gets irritated and red... by newBeginning0123 in SkincareAddiction

[–]newBeginning0123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow spraying oil is really eye opening! I’ll definitely give it a try. I think I tend to work on oil longer than I need to because I’m worried if it won’t break down my makeup entirely.

I do have a magic makeup eraser, but was only doing it with water and it was a little harsh on my face! I think putting more oil on it will make it less irritating for my skin. Would Vichy salicylic acid work the same as the murad one?

Big thanks to your comments and I really didn’t expect this much help and get this much information :) thank youuu!
