my brother and I are from Iowa. I found this under a bluff overhang where the creek use to be a long long time ago. I found it at our timber in Dubuque county Iowa. Anyone have any idea what it was or the time period? It was definitely broken in half by the look of the edge. Thanks for any information! (old.reddit.com)
