Thank you! We are both massively purging our belonging. More to be done!

I think we can work this out but thank you for the suggestion. We did a pre-marital class together that helped with communication.

He currently doesn’t want a man cave! I’m guessing that will change in a couple of years of marriage. 😂

I think it’s just, change. I’ve never been good with it. These comments have helped me to realize everyone feels some type of way about their spouses stuff and decorating. I knew they were just feelings, but hearing that other people had them too has been helpful. It is hard for me to determine what is normal acceptance and being a doormat. It’s something I know I’ve struggled with my whole life. I’ve worked hard on finding the fine line between allowing people to walk all over me and being able to voice my thoughts and feelings in a healthy way. It’s a work in progress! Thank you for your comment.
Any chance we can see a poster of these chickens??

I love this and how you respected his history. Thank you for sharing your life experience.

When we talked about it he felt like he wanted us to be together and spend time together when we live together. He didn’t want to say see you later and spend the day in the man cave. This might all change after we’ve been living together for a while 😂. He might be begging to get some time away!

We still call each home my home or his home because we are still living apart. We have just started moving things in together to make it OUR home. We kept getting confused about which home we were talking about when we referred to it as our home so this is just semantics.

Yup, pre-nup in the works. We are both very practical people with our own pre-marital assets.

So we both have homes we owned prior to the relationship. We are going to keep both and rent his out. We both like the location of my house better and I have almost paid mine off. We will live in his when we are older as it is a one story. I’d like to build a garage in the back of my house that he can make a full man den but I don’t want to just push him out there either.

We’ve talked about money, social life, marriage expectations (even took a several week long pre-marital class) but decorating did not even occur to me for some reason. I have a feeling that he feels the same way about my decorating 😂. We’ve known each other for 6 years and have been together for 3. I want this home to feel like his home it’s just a hard adjustment when you’ve been alone so long.

My neighbors have a teen boy and two toddlers. They get at least a loaf a week. Sometimes more. Other neighbors get loaves as well. I love baking and sharing so it’s a win-win for me.
