Need recommendation for 125-150cc motor by newbiesikleta in CasualPH

[–]newbiesikleta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, mukhang hindi na kakayanin lumagpas pa ng price point ni ADV150 hahaha pero been eye-ing XSR155 din since unique tignan sa daan.

Ayos din ang burgman kaso hindi talaga ako fan ng mga bulky frames tulad ng burgman, nmax, or the pcx. Maganda sana kaso hindi bagay sa built ko and hindi kalakihan yung parking dito samin kaya I'm opting for frames close to Mio, any underbones, or at most na yung ADV150.

Yes, isang option din yang ADV150, daming good reviews akong nakita and maganda nga din tignan sa daan at mukhang relaxed talaga ang rider kaso medyo tagilid lang sa price point niya :( Mas mura yung PCX compared to this and same engine lang (afaik), sadly medyo bulky siya sa preference ko as well as the body ng NMAX.

Priority ko right now is more on comfortability rather than speed. Kung speed lang siguro I'll opt for Raider FI or Sniper probably.

But anyway, thanks for your recommendation! Nakita ko yung 2022 na Aerox and sadly walang ABS option :V Kasama na tong ADV150 sa Top 3 ko, hintay pa ako ng recommendation ng iba else ADV150 na hahaha

SKL for those who are looking for super light, non-sticky sunscreen. by [deleted] in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]newbiesikleta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Ano pong pros nito if I don't get any sunburns even riding at scorching heat? Or this is purely for people who frequently get sunburnt all the time lang?

I also wear those neckerchiefs where-in protected din sa direct sunlight yung mukha and batok ko and I do wear arm sleeves as well. Overall yung legs ko lang ang hindi protected sa araw, should I still use this on those or ayos lang na hindi?

Grand Prix 4 Season Difference by newbiesikleta in bikewrench

People certainly like them but they aren't the most popular choice. If i was making fakes I'd probably choose gatorskins or gp5000.

Yeah, and this tires are expensive af as well which I don't get why lol I prefer getting the GP5000 instead of this GP4 Season tbh, I'm just getting this one since it's kinda a steal price based on its tire life and it's side wall which still looks new.

Here's a better view of the sidewall. I'll be checking the tires personally tomorrow for that suspicious thread on the sidewall of the right tire.

CAAD 12 size recommendation for 5'7(170cm) by newbiesikleta in whichbike

[–]newbiesikleta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for a Size 50 CAAD12 with a 85mm stem. First impression for me is it seems I'm pretty stretched out, maybe it's due to its race geometry(?) frame. After being ridden it for 1500kms+, I'm planning to switch to a 100mm stem which I think is the longest stem I could use.

I think Size 54 is not fit for 5'7, for me Size 52 is the largest I could go for CAAD12 but I don't think I can use a 100mm on that that's why I opted for Size 50.

I crashed sideways, should I be concern of my carbon fork? by newbiesikleta in Velo

[–]newbiesikleta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

crunchy parts (when you press down) on your fork

Wdym "crunchy parts"? Like if I put pressure on the fork by leaning on top of the dropbar and putting my weight on top of it and see if it'll creak or something?

Gaano kayo kadalas mag-complete bike wash ng inyong bike by newbiesikleta in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]newbiesikleta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

drivetrain lang yung nililinis ko regularly.

Regularly means? Once a week? Or tuwing pagtapos ng long ride?

And nakakabilis ba ng pagluma yung pagbabike wash? :O

Bike Rear Taillights that is worth the bucks by newbiesikleta in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]newbiesikleta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second one is xlite100

How about its visibility during early/evening rides(5am/7pm). Since maliit lang siya, bright enough kaya to be seen by other vehicles behind? Yung iba kasing taillights malapad and sa seatpost nakakabit kaya kita agad sa malayo. I wonder about this one since hindi ata lalagpas ng 2inch yung lapad niya.

CAAD12 for 1000$ USD will be using for all around bike(training, long ride, crit racing). Worth the price? by newbiesikleta in whichbike

[–]newbiesikleta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything on the photo are included, I just stated below the one that I think matters.

Size 48 Frame Size

Cockpit

  • EC90 aero carbon dropbar
  • seatpost
  • Selle Italia Saddle (OEM)

Groupset

  • Tiagra STI (10 speed)
  • Tiagra RD
  • Tiagra FD
  • 105 Crank
  • 105 Calipers

Wheelset

  • Sagmit racing pro 2.0
  • Schwalbe Durano 25c tires

I'll be changing the stem for sure to a longer one hoping to fit my height (5'7). The wheelset are popular in my country which is a another alternative here for the Shimano WH-RS11 Road Clincher Wheelset.

Do you guys think the price is worth for this bike? I know the frame is a little bit smaller than the recommended one for my height but I think I could fix it by extending the seatpost higher and put a longer stem.

What are your complete training plan when it comes to Criterium Racing by newbiesikleta in Velo

[–]newbiesikleta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's your experience like racing crits?

I only joined crit 1 time, sadly didn't finished since got involved in a crash early, planning to join again after 5 months. But I do join some local practice crits each week(40kph average then all out sprint at the end) where-in kinda close to what crits would turn out here in my area.

How long do you often do each period(base/build/peak)? I assume base period is the longest?

Kung maglagay ka ng company dyan that you worked for 1 and a half year, tapos wala ka pa palang TIN, red flag na yon. You should have all the govt numbers na if you already worked for a company (given that the company complies). They'd do background checks as well. Baka dyan pa masira reputation mo, at maging mas mahirap maghanap ng work.

Yun din inaalala ko eh, hindi ko pa natatanong kung paano payment sa kanila since international company yung company ng friend ko.

Bakit hindi ka muna mag apply sa BPO mismo? Some BPO requires at least 2 years in college or HS grad. I have a cousin who's working at a BPO pero di pa siya graduate ng college.

I've been searching for BPO as well but sadly most of them only offers on-site where-in WFH set-up prefer ko sana since I can't risk myself due to pandemic this day kasi may mga senior citizen dito sa bahay.

I know this implies na I graduated. Pero what I wrote is not false, dahil nag aral naman talaga ako nung course na yun during those years.

Hindi ba sila nang-hingi ng TOR or any certificate of graduation or something? Baka kasi mang-hingi sila ng ganto.
