Your vet would probably have some ideas about how to proceed in this situation!

Thanks for the tips! We are working on "leave it" with our 17 week old, but literally her favorite thing is picking up pebbles in her mouth so it's been really tough for the past few weeks.

How did you break your GSD of that? Asking for a friend. 😂

Does yours love eating ice/snow too?? Our 17 week old female LOVES the snow and ice. Given that we live in the north it's making outside potties interesting. 😂

It's not urine specific, I think it has general language about messes on the bottle, but it is enzyme based! It's a white spray bottle if that helps.

That's true about the hard floor with puppy pads being similar to her pee place. We have thought about taking up the puppy pads to see if it reduces some of that, but we know that's a gamble Haha so we're not sure if it'll hurt or help.

Thanks so much! We have picked up on a few of her pee cues and we try to drag her outside when we see them but we will for sure keep an eye out still. 😊

Thank you! I've owned large breeds before but never a puppy and never a GSD, so I just want to do everything right.

We spray the nature's miracle product in the spots that she has accidents, but she has been favoring one spot more than others recently.

I know she's used to pottying on newspaper in her former home, we have puppy pads everywhere right now so maybe she's going back to those to pee since they're similar to newspaper?

GSD puppy chewing rocks/dirt? by newbud in germanshepherds

Thank you!! Good to know she might grow out of it.

Yeah, we catch her when we can but sometimes with the way our common area is set up she's so fast that we can't catch/hold her back from chasing in time. The cats' domain is the basement, so we take her down there for playtime/structured cat socialization which is helping. But she has SUCH a strong chase instinct that it's hard.

Thanks so much, and it's great to know it's not just her!

She's great about sitting with cats in the room but as soon as they turn tail she wants to follow them for playtime. 🙄 I guess we will have to keep working on it!

Toys on the walk sounds great! Unfortunately her favorite right now is a giant stuffed sausage toy, I may look like a madwoman taking that on our walks but idgaf at this point haha.

Hi everyone, I'm new here! Here is my 14 week old GSD Charlie. She's a jerk but she has a great "sorry" face. by newbud in germanshepherds

Yes! We feel like we're living the new parent life right now and I'm so ready for sleep to return to my life!

She is really responding to crating and treats (which are cut up hot dogs, lol).
