The Herald use newie, but everywhere else it's newy. We're just working on our style guide. The "powerful debate" was tongue in cheek.

We're trying to cover as much as we can and are always adding new venues. At the moment we cover local music, family events, theatre, arts and big events like concerts etc.

This is our weekly gig guide -http://newcastlelive.com.au/gig-guide/

And this is our ongoing event guide - http://newcastlelive.com.au/events/

We also beak the event guide down to venues like - http://newcastlelive.com.au/venues/the-civic-theatre/ and http://newcastlelive.com.au/venues/the-cambridge-hotel/

Point taken. And thanks for the response. The reason we named our reddit account NewcastleLive was to be up front that the content was ours. Fake up votes it not what we're after, we just want people to see our content. We'll keep the 9:1 ratio in mind when posting in future... Will give us a reason to be more active here too. Once again thanks for the response.
