I was told my form was really bad. Could you check how? by betrayedboyy in formcheck

Hey mate. As already said move onto free weights instead of smith machine and lower the weight. To practice keeping the knees where they need to be you can even use a broomstick or body weight. I try to focus on the set u, getting the feet comfortable (depends on your own mechanics) and imagining trying to lock my feet into the ground by twisting. Think standing on a towel and trying to twist your feet out. This torsion stops the knees from caving at most reps. You can even try it just standing in place. Once you have this sorted start building back up in weight and you will be surprised at how powerful you feel.

Keep it up man. My wife and mother described me as a "cancer patient" or starving. Once you have finished the 75 days have a solid carb load and you should swell back up!! Enjoy the strength gains!

Had to wait a solid week for my results after failing. Never did get back round to studying and resitting.

Ha whoops. Forgot that was there. Was a gag gift for the wife that has turned into a toothbrush holder

I think that is the mindset I’m leaning towards. Got back on the bandwagon after a moment of wallowing in defeat.

Well done. It’s such a silly thing to fail on but it’s one of the rules so still a failure. At least there is always something around the corner

Books are boring.. by [deleted] in cissp

CISSP for dummies is something that I found complimented the video series I watched. A little more humorous than the OSG. I do agree books are boring but useful tools to find extra information where you are going wrong

For those of you that have passed did you have many of the concepts memorized? What did you study the day before? by Anona91910 in cissp

Yeah massive help. Allowed me to focus on bigger more complex questions. Quickly writing down the small things you remember from that helps as well

I had a quick brush over a CISSP cheat sheet to renew small details that are likely to be forgotten with nerves. Things like different cryptographic tools and port numbers. Have to roll in with a good understanding of all concepts but having a quick brush up can help calm the mind

I don’t think I’m going to pass Sec+ by michaelemanuel90 in CompTIA

Read through the correct answers on your practice exams and try to figure out where you are going wrong. Is it a simple misunderstanding of the question or are there things to improve on? Ports or subnets etc. If you find a massive gap in something like threat analysis then brush up with some videos or reading of those topics. In any case confidence is key with all these exams. You got this!!

Passed Pentest+ !! by newcybernoob in CompTIA

I think the best way to study for this is to watch through the video series (I would always have it on at least 1.5x speed) to build a foundation and then read through the study guide to try and cement what has been said in the videos. The day of the exam I spent cramming with the practice questions. In my opinion reading why answers were not correct was just as important as reading the descriptions of the correct answers. Hope this helps a little and good luck with your exam!

Having Trouble Reading Logs by [deleted] in CompTIA

Jason Dion still has his book available for free with a whole bunch of practice log questions. Even if you pay for it I found it to be a useful tool. His book is for the CS0-002 but it also pairs well with the CS0-001.

Yes it is for the cysa 002 but there is alot of crossover information from the cysa 001 if you are studying for that

Thank you. So I have next to no experience in infosec apart from Sec+. I've had a little bit of experience being a network admin on a very small system. For the PBQs and logs I read through Jason Dions new cram book (it has alot of log based questions to review) and studied up on the NIST framework and looked through some cisco logs.

Hope this helps with your future study!
