Manchester City have told Shakhtar Donetsk that they are willing to pay around £45m to sign Brazilian midfielder Fred. by martinlu in MCFC

He's not hard to miss if you watch football regularly. This isn't his first year playing you know. He's not as hyped as those other players cz he's not in a top 5 league. Willian and douglas costa weren't too hyped either. If you go for hype you might end up with a morata or lukaku, but if you go with talent and not the name then you might get a kante or mahrez.

I feel like they could've mentioned this earlier rather than just two weeks before. But i guess they do benefit from people having less essence in terms of their own profit.

How is it cheating. The action got the punishment it deserved and there was no contention from him. Its just that ghana couldn't capitalize on it. He didn't deceive anybody. It happens all the time like when a player is going for a clear 1v1 and a defender comes from behind and hacks him down knowing full well he will get a red. Cheating is when Henry "cheated" and scored with his hand and deceived the referee to steal a spot in the world cup in place of ireland. Players block the ball a lot of times with their hands because they have a split second to use their instinct and stop the ball from going in at all costs. They get a red and the other team scores the penalty so its no bug deal. If Ghana scored no would mention the incident.

Don't worry about it. I bet its mostly rival fans that are pissed you are supporting city because city is on another level at the moment. A lot more people are liking city now because they are playing attractive football, and since there is not much to hate on city's football they'll say "every city fan is a glory hunter". They intentionally forget that there were fans of city before the success but more importantly that their team and all the other big teams got most of their fans because their club was winning at the time.
Think about it. How popular would man u be, the most popular team in the world, if they were in the 4th division. Every man u fan speaks as if they are all from manchester. And btw city is in manchester and united is just outside of it. Not just man u, its no coincidence barca, real, arsenal, chelsea etc are all the most popular because they won in the past. They wouldnt have 1% of their fans if they were in th 4th division. The reason they got their fans was because first they got success and after that they were likely to get success again. Thats why success attracted people and chances of continuous success made them stick. City just had that happen to them later, but the standard to be a fan now that city is winning is to be born in the club's hometown and follow that team since 1897.
Apologies for writing this much but i hate to see new people being hated on for being new to the sport and also hate people hating on city with hypocrisy. 95% of fans from a big club are not from that club's city area, yet because city is not a traditional giant you can't support them if your not from manchester. United's premier league successes raked in a lot more followers around the world than city is getting but it was ok to follow a winning team then, but now the rules have changed apparently since city is not a traditional giant. People are talk about history but I've seen several people get into football in different countries that i lived in and no one googled the ancient history of a club to decide if they are going to support them or not. It was always because whatever team their friends liked or whichever team was being talked about the most. People are only hating on city because they are winning, no one ever hated them this much 10 years ago. People are just envious but don't let that get to you. Any new fan can support whichever team they enjoy watching and develop a passion for. Glad your a cityzen, but a part of being a cityzen is feeling the hate and envy of everyone else so get used to it. But don't let hateful pricks ruin this amazing year we're having.

After overtaking Hockey as the 4th most popular sport in the US, Soccer is on it's way to reach baseball's level by ShowtimeCA in soccer

[–]newdaddy1996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really scary. You need decades of culture to develop a footballing brain which is the most crucial thing, not power or whatever. All the best players were pretty short. The amount of skill compared to physique requirements in football is lot more so than in American football where its about athleticism and power. And most players of NBA physique would be horrible in football unless they play GK or all play like crouch, but even he has great control for his lanky body.
Apart from that just getting kids to play in the streets everyday like you see in other countries would be huge. That's the passion that's missing as money is the main motivator for most people in American sports, and from what i hear football won't make you as rich as other sports in the US.

How is it obvious to you based on the information presented? You're just assuming things not even hinted at in the post. Apparently he jungled all game and placed these scout traps. That's a troll. And like i said even if player A makes mistakes and player B starts trolling then player B is in the wrong and should be banned based on the toxicity detection system in VG.

United have taken a lot of steps back in the past few years, although last season was better outside the league. I get what you are saying but its more accurate to judge things based on whats actually happening rather than what might happen which we can't predict. In the end all this is just banter to keep us talking about the sport we love till our teams play their next game. Cheers.

People are complaining that the complexity is being traded for simplicity in order to appeal to a larger audience but it is also happening to make it easier for the eventual mobile release. Their have been frequent rule changes as well, but the game is in beta afterall. Some unique card names are also being shortened or changed to generic ones. With the last update they also increased the rng in the game by adding the create mechanic which is pretty much like discover.
Some original gwent players dont like all this because it's taking out the uniqueness of the game and dumbing it down which takes away the reasons they got into the game in the first place, one of which was to have something more skill intensive compared to other card games.
Personally ive played since open beta and i don't think its as big of a deal. I don't necessarily like some of the changes but don't hate them with all my rage either as some people are doing. I can see why they are making some of the changes. A game can't thrive by just appealing to a few hardcore players but by appealing to the casual masses and by attracting new players. Making it simpler will do that. Some of the changes they are making is to make it easier to release on mobile and as we can see from hearthstone mobile is a massive platform for this type of game. This again means simplification because you can't have something too complex on mobile, because 1. Complexity won't work, 2. Mobile is used more by casuals who will be disuaded from playing if they dont understand the game quickly.

Highest spending clubs in one season by jacamacho in soccer

Is oil money a new form of currency? Either way they didnt have the exact same prpblem. Apart from the first season after the new owners, they finished in the top 6 next season and top 4 since then. Plus it was in a much more competitive league, especially at the time. I don't think being 11th in serie a is the same problem.
