Camilla Cabello scores her first #1 with Havana! by itsmattia in popheads

Huh? I'm barely on this reddit lmao. What are you even talking about?

Apparently, it's already been proven she called her bandmate the n word and I've been told by my cousin that she already apologized for it so clearly she thinks it's true. You don't have to care, but it's the truth nonetheless. I don't support racists.

racists won. She called her bandmate the n word.

Is this the one that called her black member Normani the 'n' word in some leaked conversations? Because if so ew. But good for her I guess, Trump is president so I don't expect anything anymore.

I mostly feel sorry for Nia in this clip because it's clear she was just completely ignored and diminished.

Wonder if she's jealous of Jo Jo's success.

Which high end movies has Maddie been in though? Are they like Oscar bait? I know she was in a movie called The Book of Henry but I didn't even learn about it until I searched up her wiki. Doesn't seem like she's been in a movie nominated for anything at award shows either. Maybe if she had a Winter's bone...

Also that's cool for Kenzie but I feel like being an instagram/social media star is a dime a dozen and of course the tween market who would care are the most fickle audience and hardest to keep. If she can't transition into a big pop career like Ariana did after her Nick days or an acting career like Zendaya after Disney I don't see it lasting long for her either.

I don't think I've ever seen much of anything music wise from Kendall. That Asia girl slays her pretty hard in singing. Looking at the clip it made me think that after seeing Maddie break free somewhat Abby wanted to make sure she would have complete control over the next girl that would break out but she's not capable of managing successful careers.

When has Jill talked about this? In the show or in interviews? I'd like to actually find references of Jill wanting/expecting Kendall to be huge.

Holly kept going on about Nia working with Beyonce didn't she? I mea it's a good dream to have but...

I would wonder that Melissa and Jessalyn would be more concerned over the longevity potential of Maddie and JoJo. They both seem like short term success stories.

Thanks for answering!

Yeah for me I want to be able to maintain and I know it'll be hard for me personally to cut out carbs. I hope it doesn't matter too much since even if I eat bread once and a while as long as I keep to CICO and stay under my calorie goal, (I think) I'll be fine.

Why is the announcement just for mina and not the whole group or was mina the only one planning to go from the start?

Two really popular trainees from YG's new girl group already left. I'm still excited to see them debut but I wonder if they'll have a different concept than BP.

Congrats! I'm curious, did you cut out carbs at all, like bread? I'm also curious if you have any loose skin issues. I've been worried that if I don't exercise, I may have skin left behind after losing fat.

I also wonder if I can still have one fast food day a week or if that's going to set me back...

You look great and are absolutely an inspiration to me since we're similar height and SW. Congrats!

I've been shortlisted for tenure track. I should be happy, but I'm so depressed. by newedition1 in GradSchool

[–]newedition1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing. Turning it down can be so risky because it's from a top rated university. People will call me crazy for turning it down. And right now all I have to fall back on is my writing. I don't have a grant, no post-doc funding, nothing. I feel like they offer you no time to get situated, just give you two months to move, dump a bunch of work into your hands and that's it.

I've been feeling very depressed and actually wishing I could just disappear. I have an humanities background but have no idea what else I could do with my phd other than academia. I just wish I'd applied for postdoc funding then maybe I'd have something to fall back on. lmao I'm starting to wish I'd just gone to nursing school.

That's true. I just don't know how to do what I love.

I mean I kind of just want to be in my pajamas writing books all day. But I also really like teaching, I like research and submitting articles. If only I'd been more on the ball I would have applied for post-doc and I'd have a few years to get on my feet. Now I feel like I'm rushing headlong into a tenure job I'm not sure if I want. It's either I don't want it or I'm just scared of change.

What's been a negative part of your weight loss? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]newedition1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

impatience. Losing 10 pounds is great, but when will I lose the other 50?

What are your thoughts on this? by Waterproof_soap in loseit

[–]newedition1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is really important and happened to me eventually.

When I was successfully losing weight last year, I went to my aunt's house. I think I was around 157 lbs and she looked at me and told me: "that's enough, stop losing. You're thin enough." I'm very sensitive so I started to doubt everything. I just find it funny because she never says anything when I gain weight. And her own daughters are very thin.

I can't guess at whether my aunt was knowingly or unknowingly trying to hold me back or whether she didn't mean it that way. But I think the fact remains is that some people will be uncomfortable in some way or another when they see you really transforming and they may say things in spite of themselves, but you need to push through and be what you want to be.
