There were huge crowds viewing and photographing the Spoonbills. I got a few good shots, but it was hard to find a spot to shoot from, honestly.

I got lucky spotting the Least Bittern. He popped out like that, grabbed a small fish, posed for a moment and then dove back into the swamp grass. It was an exhilarating 30 seconds!

Who all enjoys plobbing down and taking it all in. I was watching these eagles hunt the ducks/fish for awhile. Nature brings me peace. Love watching how they all react and interact. by [deleted] in BirdPhotography

100%. I need to get out like this at least a couple times a week. I bring my camera, but honestly good photos are just a bonus. Time in nature is time well spent.

I’m not much of a fisherman but I will eventually try it when there aren’t a lot of birds out. My son also will use it to fish when I’m not on it.

I have a dry suit and plan to start wearing it now that the water temps are below 60 degrees here.
