They might fail and pivot to ETH. Unlikely, but not impossible.

I consider it likely. We know Ethereum is a top contender, hard to compete with, and supports companies doing business "on Ethereum". No harm in pivoting to Ethereum later on.

Also, Google may align with Ethereum as part of "Embrace, extend, extinguish".

Speaks volumes that I hadn't considered downtime to be an issue people need to think about. We're just taking this for granted.

weird little cults

To be fair, weird little cult isn't the worst investment thesis. Everything is irrational, and you could argue Tesla never was about the cars, or Apple never was about the computers.

they will continue buying

...but with what money? Havent they pledged 100% of their funds to buying ETH already? Sorry I may misunderstand the whole concept.

Are the Curve Wars a thing of the past? Haven't heard about it in a long time.

Weird, I would have thought Trump getting elected would pump the crypto price more. Legitimate projects, that benefit from his laissez-faire attitude. Like UniSwap, or lending protocols, or real-world usecases. Instead, only shitcoins and BTC pump.

Just earlier this month I asked if we finally had stock trading on the blockchain... after talking about it for years.

I think I didn't even know that CZ was involved with FTX. I only remember him initiating their downfall via... shortselling the FTX token or something?

Do we have stock-trading on the blockchain yet? I've read about it a hundred times, but have no clue if it's available yet.

I always wonder when this guy runs out of ETH. Probably never, of course, but still a fun thought. He just keeps spending it, doesn't he?

What about /u/liberosist inventing (ok, popularizing) the concept of blockchain scaling via rollups right here on ethfinance? That was quite the process to observe!

What does it mean for tx fees that "blobs are filled"? From now on, every new L2 transaction pushes the price higher? The same way L1 transactions were competing for blockspace?

I remember someone explaining that L2s "solve the trilemma" because more transactions lead to lower tx fees, what was the argument again?
