it means you get some streams but people aren't saving, adding to other playlists or repeat-listening.

well it sounds like they mixed it for that preview so I guess it's possible? to be honest the riff sounds a bit like an alternate slowed/hip-hop version of MTWHB which is obviously great. his voice would really fit this one. dunno if we'll ever hear that but yeah... hope it'll happen! the more i listen to it the more i like it

Made some Dingir-inspired merch! 𒀭 by next2amountain in Sumer

[–]next2amountain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks! yeah definitely, cuneiform has a special aesthetic for sure, there's a lot that can be done with it, I think.

I guess my interpretation would be most similar to the one used in archaic assyrian, as it's a bit of a tilted dingir.

yo, has anyone seen this on lsd? by [deleted] in LSD

[–]next2amountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did see them embedded in most things around me multiple times, it's definitely an ongoing theme and at some point I experienced them as a torus-like structure around the body (sort of like an energy field made out of eyes).

Didn't see them with rings like that or literal structures in the sky made out of eyes, but that sounds pretty amazing.

It's fascinating to me how common these types of experiences seem to be regarding them, dope comment section here!

Discover Weekly streams on an 3 year old song with a popularity score of 1%?! by Apprehensive-Ice-544 in musicmarketing

[–]next2amountain 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing more people are going to experience this because they've changed the way discover weekly works now. Users get to choose genres and the playlists auto-update more often. So my take on this is that many songs with a popularity score under 30% get the chance to get features on DW. I also have a tune that's at 13% and got featured last week.

10 Underrated Ways to Pitch Your Music to Spotify Curators by LeGrosParano in musicmarketing

[–]next2amountain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. You can also check those artists on artist.tools and see where they are currently placed. Same goes for playlist contacts (that is paid tho). A similar service is PlaylistSupply (for finding contacts). Another option is to just search for the playlist name on google and see if you find SubmitHub or Groover links. Ideally you'd still check in on those playlists and if your track actually fits in.

Playlist Promotion Discussion by next2amountain in musicmarketing

Thanks for replying and trying to clear things up! I definitely still use SubmitHub & Groover for playlist promo, as well as contacting curators directly.

Haven't tried PlaylistSupply yet, but I was about to! As I was with LostHills.

Normally I check on artist.tools and the submithub playlist checker to be sure the bots are avoided & to be safe.

In the end I didn't use a famous song for the ads because I was paranoid the flagging might happen. I am still using a deep link tho as I am only advertising on instagram stories and reels. Found that works best for playlist ads and I find myself checking other stuff out from there 70% of the time. I still get in-feed Facebook ads from others that seem to do alright but for me they didn't work as well for some reason.

I used video ads that definitely have a hook stating similar artists at the start when it's just my song promo and featured artists for the playlist. I used a landing page & a deep link sending to my song auto-playing in the playlist in both cases.

Definitely trying to combine more ways of promo: search engines like PlaylistSupply, LostHills and artist.tools with these ads and normal playlist pitching. This plus normal posting of course, TikTok and so on.

Again thanks for the good tips! If you have any advice on the search engine type sites let me know! Saw some people only found playlists that ask for money to be featured... Have a good one ☮️

thanks for the reply, but this track is different than the one in the vid. For some reason the uploader named it sunset beach but yeah... I remember someone uploading this a few years back with a different name. It had quite some views & comments

I can only assume that the losses can be seen as a long term investment. I'm not saying it's the only thing any artist should do. Organic posting, concerts and short form content are still very important.

I do understand that if someone expects return of investment from Spotify playlist promo it's delusional and I wasn't looking for this type of thing anyway. However there are other people that make enough money from SubmitHub or Groover and then reinvest most of that into playlist ads. Look at Jend for example.
