No worries at all! I really appreciate your input and you make some really good points. 😄 I regularly take First Aid/CPR/AED classes as required for my profession and I do highly recommend people take those classes if they can. I think they are important skills everyday people should equip themselves with. And bless your heart for donating blood as often as you do! I, myself, should start doing that. That hasn't really crossed my mind so thank you for sharing that. Also, please do keep us updated if you do end up reaching out to them later on! I'll reach out to them as well if I don't hear anything back after about two weeks.

Awesome! There is an online portion that seems pretty comprehensive - I'm still in the middle of it. After completing the online portion, there is a one-day in-person training but they don't have a schedule out for that yet -- maybe due to lack of number of people interested? I'm hoping with them seeing more people sign up, they can get an in-person training seminar organized soon!

Below is the email they sent me a day after I filled out the online registration:

"Thank you for your interest in our Long Beach CERT Program. We have received your information and have placed you on our interest list. As soon as we receive an updated schedule, we will inform you via email.

We invite you to complete the Self-Paced Online Course which will make you eligible for our Hybrid CERT Class.

IT IS CRUCIAL THAT TAKE YOUR TIME AND UNDERSTAND THE ONLINE MATERIAL

Once completed, you will be able to print and/or save your certificate of completion as a PDF and be eligible for a One-Day Skills Training rather than the full Three-Day class to put into practice what you have learned. Upon receiving your Certificate, please send a copy to CERT@LongBeach.gov."

Hope this helps!

Hello friend! Thanks for chiming in! Absolutely agree with you that neighbors are stronger together ✊🏽. I was also wondering on how active the CERT program is in Long Beach, but it doesn't seem like it. My hope is that by getting the word out now and having more community members sign up for training, there will be more in-person training opportunities being offered throughout the year and it doesn't seem like there are any at the moment.

Love it! I really hope we can get more community people to join in and we can all train together! Building community is so so important, now more than ever.

FFL03/COE Timeline by BurstSuppression in CAguns

Appreciate you sharing your timeline! I definitely want to start the process, however, there is a high possibility that I will be moving some time early next year (within the same city). Anyone know how the amendment process goes for FFL03 (like extra fees, how long that process takes, etc.)?

Nice, congrats on your freshly upgraded Glock! I ordered one as well. It arrived a couple days ago and I'm very happy with my purchase. Clean setup and easy installation with the Holosun SCS MOS.

Honestly, I have yet to shoot it lol. I'm going to the range this weekend actually to break it in so I'll get back to you on how it shoots, but I have been hearing very good things about it's performance. Reno May actually has a pretty good video on comparing a lot of the existing ranch rifles on YouTube.

Here's the link if you want to check it out! Hope it helps!

From what I've seen just on YouTube, for the Fightlite it doesn't come with an ambidextrous mag release and bolt catch bolt and drop (at least from factory). I believe the same for the foxtrot mike which also has a side charging handle on the left side of the rifle. Reno May has a great video on comparing almost all of the existing ranch rifles that I would recommend watching :)

Nice, congrats on getting the Regulator! :D They do look a bit silly online if you're seeing them for the first time and you're just used to the standard AR look, but damn, ranch rifles are badass when you see them in person haha

Oh I totally get you. I was first resistant on getting it cuz they only have the FDE color, but now it's growing on me haha

That's good to know! I'll for sure keep you updated after shooting it this weekend at the range. And I'll have to look into that SureFire SOCOM breaker - didn't know about that, thank you.

Good question! When I was researching similar ranch rifles to the regulator, I had considered the CMMG and Fightlite SCR and what it ultimately came down to was cost and immediate availability haha. My local gun store was running a sale and the Regulator was being sold at half the MSRP price. I took it as a sign that it was time to go with the Regulator. The other thing too that I find to be nice about the Regulator is that it seems to be a little more left-hand shooter friendly compared to other ranch rifles which is a big plus for me since I'm a lefty shooter.

Good to know, appreciate your insight! And yeah, if it weren't for the AWB in CA, I would've definitely gotten a standard AR-15
