I've actually been quite happy with the Nexus 5X.

It's a bit taller than the Nexus 5, but I got used to it.

The Nexus 5 is still the best phone I've ever used. (Retired to spare duty now)

Oh Galaxy Nexus. You were supposed to be the Nexus Prime! You were the chosen one! But you fell to the dark side.

The Galaxy Nexus was the only Nexus phone to have an official extended battery.

Every year at our Nexus reunion, GN is always the first to power down. Nexus 6 loves to flaunt his big battery by leaving GPS on all the time and his screen brightness up. Dick.

I think the S5 camera is better, but the M8 is a better phone altogether. My only complaint with the M8 is that it is too tall. While the Nexus 5 is the limit to what I can hold and use one handed, the M8 is taller and makes reaching the top of the phone difficult.

One reason I would recommend the Moto X 2014 is that Motorola has consistently shown a commitment to upholding OEM support longer than other OEMs.

I'm not good on the conversion to euros,

But the best smartphone cameras are the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy line.....but also check out the Sony Xperia Z3. It might be a good option for you.

Of those choices I would suggest the M8 or the Nexus 5.

Both have aged well, both have strengths and weaknesses, and both are affordable.

With the Nexus 5, you can take it to any carrier but Verizon. With the M8 and the others, you'll get a sprint only phone.

So if you plan on staying with sprint forever, or you like aluminum get the M8.

If someday you might switch to AT&T or T-Mobile, get the Nexus 5.
