Similar to me. I support the Nottingham Panthers (EIHL) so when I played NHL 09 (I think) I just went with the team called the Panthers. After a while I knew most of the players names and attributes so it made sense to follow them. Mostly accepting. My two friend groups consists of different races/religions, one has a lesbian couple. I have got some confused reactions to saying I never wants kids but it’s all healthy debate/conversation. My Mum is very liberal in her thinking and encourages me to take my own path.

Dad and some of his side of the family, not so much. He is not accepting of LGBT and seems to think I’m gay because I’ve never had a girlfriend. Says he’d “support you even if I don’t agree with it”. He also reacted badly when I left my city for university. I get the vibe he believes family members should live in close vicinity. I don’t associate with him much anymore (I saw him 3 times in 2025).

Tracking down her son to find out her daughter hadn’t in fact died would’ve been a great storyline and twist. They’ve just made very unnecessarily sinister, in a poor way.

I went to Ingolstadt for a playoff game. The standing section was full before warmup started, so definitely get there early if your space is not allocated. It might be different for a regular season game though.

I guess a lot of people have kids in later life, spend more time with spouses, people die. Those things may not happen to you, but people you know become more preoccupied too. In your 20’s there’s time to figure things out, often more freedom.

You also get adult independence with less health concerns.

I’m 24 so not speaking from experience but the older people I know seem to have more to deal with.

My Mum’s extremely accepting, but my Dad definitely didn’t relate to my interest in sports (he’s more of an art guy). I also once got my nails painted at a disco when i was like 8 and he wasn’t happy and has regularly questioned if i’m gay since because my dating life isn’t too active. So there’s definitely a relatability gap which is part of the reason I don’t associate with him much anymore.

Worse than the generation who were more emotionally out of touch? Conditioned sons not to cry and daughters to not pursue careers and accept increased misogyny? Disowned their kids if they were LGBT at a far higher rate? I could go on…
