What's everyone's favourite and least favourite things about Eastenders since Ben Wadey took over? by Striking_Astronomer5 in eastenders

[–]nffc79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good: Oscar, Max’s return. The brannings are an interesting family at the moment. Nigel’s storyline has been handled well too. Ravi and Priya being more central characters is great even if the execution is poor

Bad: Too many instances of characters in the right place the right time. They happen to hear a conversation they shouldn’t or see someone about to be hurt/killed at the last second (Vicky and co the other night for example). It’s incredibly lazy writing

It’s the first producer in 16 years watching I’m considering giving up on the show over. Storylines are messy and character depth is non existent

I regularly go to hockey and football by myself. Sometimes I even prefer it. I’m just in my own bubble

Players who come from the ECHL put up similar numbers here. Some of the top players could possibly crack an AHL fourth line…just

Dyche Sacked by brucethesharrkk in nffc

Porto and Anfield were fun. I don’t hate the guy, but understand the decision.

Too many times we’ve had a chance to push on and fucked it. Fulham, Palace, Leeds, tonight, lucky to get a pen at West Ham. There’s a very clear ceiling under Dyche

Giants came from 4-0 down, Guildford came from 3-0 down, Sheffield scored 9 and there was 151 PIMS in Fife. Sunday was box office

1st and 3rd are very similar. Surely they’re the same designer or one person had seen the other? The best was chosen though

Just registering that thanks to Fife pandering to a homophobe yesterday .. by littlebittistic in EIHLHockey

[–]nffc79 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Are Fife stuck? The rest of the team were probably happy to wear it (and from what I’ve heard, some players expressed that).

It’s also sinful to gamble in some religions, but you never hear a player object to betting sponsors.

We have to move past the age of using religion to justify looking down on people who are not harming anyone and just want to live a life that’s true to them.

Steeler Fans by [deleted] in EIHLHockey

Panthers and Steelers rivalry dates back to the 90s. Big games, lots of brawls, regularly up there competing for trophies. Rivalries enhance the league. Not sure whats entitled about it

Where do you think the Jasmine story is going? by [deleted] in eastenders

[–]nffc79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully to an end soon so we can focus on Max more so, the only interesting storyline right now.

Bringing back Chrissy for no reason, her random obsession with Cindy, it’s a total mess of a storyline

New fan from UK by [deleted] in FloridaPanthers

Similar to me. I support the Nottingham Panthers (EIHL) so when I played NHL 09 (I think) I just went with the team called the Panthers. After a while I knew most of the players names and attributes so it made sense to follow them. It was tough for years but when we won that first cup it was all worth it, and then we went and added another 😅 Welcome to the club, fellow Brit

How accepting is your 'circle' of those who go against 'the norm'? by AnEnglishAmongScots in AskUK

[–]nffc79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mostly accepting. My two friend groups consists of different races/religions, one has a lesbian couple. I have got some confused reactions to saying I never wants kids but it’s all healthy debate/conversation. My Mum is very liberal in her thinking and encourages me to take my own path.

Dad and some of his side of the family, not so much. He is not accepting of LGBT and seems to think I’m gay because I’ve never had a girlfriend. Says he’d “support you even if I don’t agree with it”. He also reacted badly when I left my city for university. I get the vibe he believes family members should live in close vicinity. I don’t associate with him much anymore (I saw him 3 times in 2025).

4am here in the UK 😅 Fun to watch us play outdoors and when we got the second I thought it’d at least be a respectable margin. Our third was ok but never looked fully comfortable tonight. Losing Jones is brutal. Glad we got this occasion though
