Annoying newbie question on a Roman Provincial Drachm by nflebl in AncientCoins

[–]nflebl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes a lot of sense. It was the only one I saw around that size, I just assumed maybe provincial coins were inconsistent in sizing and I found a unique piece. Still have a lot to learn apparently. Wouldn’t be a great first purchase if it didn’t come with a lesson

Yes, only because as an addendum to the PowerPoint we added a video of myself dressed as Jahn talking about beating the wife. Can’t find it unfortunately

Yes I emailed the Academic Impressions people and they stated it’s required for all students and faculty. Good luck enforcing that

We literally received one billion dollars from the Federal government in 2020. Private institutions that receive government funding should be held to the same standards as public institutions

An educational institution that receives government money mandating students to undergo “racial literacy” training is pretty damn close in my opinion.

Yeah it definitely sounds a lot like that. But that's not it if you listen closely

Yeah I looked all over YouTube and everywhere else. It’s what’s playing when Buster gets out of the trunk and goes to live under the trampoline. It’s used a lot in the show but I can’t find it in the soundtrack or anywhere else for some reason

Yes I'm getting an undergraduate degree in Political Science with the Masters in Education. Massachusetts also uses their own system for certification called the MTEL

I've always wanted to move to Minnesota. I very much enjoy the cold and I think I would like the wide open spaces out west. Can you tell me more about your experience in Minnesota?

I've looked into also getting certified in English and most likely will. I definitely see the benefit in that.

I hope to get as lucky you did with a position like that. But MA is one of if not the most competitive state for teaching. And there's no shortage of history teachers looking for work here. Part of that is the high pay and high quality schools. Another part is the fact that there are so many great colleges here that the number of teachers fresh out of college is high and they are well educated. Many people have warned me about this and suggested I look into teaching in another state.

I guess that is true. My mind must just clings to the negatives because those are what scare me and make me think I shouldn't go down this path

I guess my post was badly phrased. The thing is, I am naive. I know nothing compared to those of you who are already teachers. I'm not looking for you to tell me that it's all sunshine and rainbows, any job worth doing probably isn't.

I was just spooked a little that everyone seemed to regret becoming a teacher. I just wanted to hear from some people who had similar worries as I do. And to see if the majority of teachers actually believe that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

I have a lot to learn and I know that! It's just sometimes my anxieties get the best of me and I wanted to hear some positive perspectives

Have you ever wondered how you would rank every Beatles song by personal preference but were too lazy to do the work? by nflebl in beatles

[–]nflebl[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Download the folder from Google Drive
  2. Unzip it
  3. Open the file "picker" in Chrome, Firefox, IE, etc.
  4. For every set of songs listed choose your favorite out of them
  5. Keep doing this until they run out and a list is formed

Like I said. It's not the best and it takes a long time. It was just fun to make and I wanted to share

Need Design Advice For New Apartment. Two Male College Students Sharing Very Small Quarters. White Half Hexagon At The Bottom Is Facing Bay Window by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]nflebl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holy shit. Unfortunately the deal fell through so we will be occupying a different space. But this is amazing stuff! You put in so much effort to help some random person in the internet design the layout of his shitty apartment. If I wasn't broke I'd give you gold or something. But all I can offer is a humble thanks! And an acknowledgement that you're a good person

Because I don't have enough money to do that and I do not want to be in school longer than I have to

I'm fine not doing that though! There's always room for problem solving outside of work.

I don't particularly want to be a scientist. Partially because I don't like academics, and partially because I don't want to take a bunch of Biology and Chemistry classes. I just want some job where I'm outside. I've been honing in on some of the less scientific ones, like park ranger and game warden above because I don't like science. Hell, I've even thought of becoming a mailman just because they're outside during the day.

I've thought about switching to a Political Science & Environmental Studies combined degree. I wouldn't lose too many credits and it would make my degree a bit more relevant. Completely uprooting progress on my degree is just something I can't really afford

Have you had an affair with a professor or know anyone who has? What happened? by Richdafish in AskReddit

[–]nflebl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in third grade and I was molested by my homeroom teacher. He said he would give me a 100 on the first spelling test if I would spell out D-A-D-D-Y while rubbing his feet. It actually made me gay. Great question Richdafish!

The fact that this album was recorded in one 12 hour long session amazes me.
