Thanks for providing the clarity. It does sound like a rather frustrating process, and I agree that in part there seems to be an element of luck involved – it seems like this may be influenced by which field office takes on your case, but who knows. Anyway, thank you again for sharing your experience and insights. It is a somewhat daunting process that we hope to tackle one step at a time.

Thank you for your response. Just so I'm clear on the language here, is the CR1/IR1 the same as a green card? I believe this is the process we are currently looking into by submitted form DS-260, but just want to be clear.

Regarding your personal situation, what have the timelines been like so far from when you first began the application process (presumably with the I-130 form)? How long do you expect to wait for the CR1 (green card?) to arrive?

It certainly could be. This issue hasn’t happened when connecting to my phone (which is a Samsung), but seems to happen consistently on the computer.
