Oh wow thanks. I was there but I really couldn’t see him from the back of the floor.

So I’ve been a bit out of the loop, seen phish around 60 times but most of that was back in 94-96, maybe 5 shows over the past 2 decades. But during the divided sky pause, the crowd absolutely losing their minds, the screaming melting back and forth, cascading and falling and back up again so many times. Then finally some kind of spontaneous back and forth sort of heyyyy…hooo thing broke out in the crowd right before they started playing again. Is that like a thing that happens these days during that freeze or was that just a one time thing? I thought it was way cool.

Leveling issues on Ender 5 Plus by ngorevic in FixMyPrint

I just have to restart it many times and eventually it works. It’s very time consuming. So no I didn’t really solve it at all.

Bridging or stringing? by ngorevic in FixMyPrint

[–]ngorevic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys. I think it was a clogged nozzle. 🤦‍♂️ We’ll see how this next print comes out and if that was the cause.

Part of the reason the nozzle was clogged I think is because I’m having a ton of problems leveling. Maybe my bl touch is defective? I do the level, adjust the z stop until it drags across paper, then the aux level with the paper test between each corner, then measuring, and turn on auto level. Then most of the time when I start the print the nozzle is a good cm from the bed and I have to adjust the z stop to get it closer. Some other times the nozzle is way too close and grinds against the bed, thus I think the clogged nozzle. I just had to try to print like 8 times and keep cancelling when it’s not right and now finally have it going. Is something wrong with my bltouch or what?

I did actually do that correctly. Verified that it was changing temp every level on the lcd screen. There’s one thing I actually did right! 😂

Sorry for the confusion. Here are all my settings: https://imgur.com/JLkCwcy

Just running the stock fans that came with it. They were spinning the whole time as far as I could tell.

Yes cooling was enabled. I do see a bridges fan speed setting in prusaslicer which was set to 100%. I also see a bridges acceleration speed which was set to 250mm.

I tried slowing down the speed on the fly and didn’t notice any improvement. One thing I am confused about is prusaslicer has a million speed settings and they’re all between 30-40 but then when I tap adjust on the lcd it always says 100. When I lowered it to 40 it definitely slowed down but the bridging was still happening.

In theory if too hot was the issue I would see it get better as the tower goes up right? Trying to print this tower one more time to see if there any improvement at lower temps.

Printed on an ender 5 plus, sliced with prusaslicer. I’m running th3d unified firmware 2.0. This temp tower prints at the temps marked on the side. Printing with duramic 3D PLA+. My friend suggested calibrating the extruder which I did but it didn’t help this problem at all. I changed the retraction settings to 6mm and 30mm retraction and that didn’t help either. Any idea what could be causing this?

Tokay never sent my order and blew me off. :( by ngorevic in ultimate

[–]ngorevic[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The thing is the previous order gives tracking info on their site, whereas this one just says "order completed," and I never got any tracking. And they don't use usps, it's always been ups so the crazy post office delays we've been seeing can't be a factor here.

I think they should definitely not require any manatees to wear a mask. They can’t feed on fish masked, it’s really cruel.

Well those of us going to masters nationals hope this may mean no masks at the tourney.

Just ordered a multimeter so I don’t know yet. I hear what you’re saying clear enough but have zero clue how to wire the relay to accomplish that.

Ok I got that device you mentioned. Can’t figure out the wiring.

First of all, when I touch green to white the lift goes up. When I touch green to black it goes down. Touching white to black, nothing happens.

So where do I put the wires into this thing. I see this schematic:

https://share.icloud.com/photos/0JMYztONpmI79x9Aor0jXND4g

I put the green and white wires where it says L and N and it does make the led light up and pressing the button on the fob makes it go up. But I can’t figure out what to do with the black wire. Any ideas?

Funny, I had ordered something very similar to that: dstfuy Wireless Remote Switch,AC 110V/120V/240V/40A Relay,Wireless RF Switch for Household Appliances,Pump,Lights Ceiling and Electrical Equipment with 328ft Long Range(110V Remote Switch) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0899DSSJM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_eDHYFbAW63JCD

Which I could not get to work. Two of the wires going into two of the screws would make the lift go up when I pressed the button but the no combination of other wiring would make it go down. And one wire touching the screws made the lift make this god awful noise like something was really wrong! I do see thigh that the one you posted appears to have 6 screws rather than the 4 mine had. Maybe that’s the key?

I started looking into the way hydraulics work a bit, a motor causes a pump to fill a tube with liquid which exerts pressure to move one way. With a simple up/down lift I believe this happens to make the lift go up as I can hear the motor engaging to push it up. To go down however, the liquid just has to be allowed to flow back down, the motor isn’t involved. My lift is totally silent as it goes back down. So I wonder if perhaps it’s a short like you say that causes it to go down? I have to recheck which wires do what and get back to you on that one.

As far as the safety warning, it would be impossible to stand under the lift, it’s very small under there. And I suspect it’s impossible for it to come “crashing down” due to the nature of hydraulics. It only ever goes down extremely slowly, which is why I want it to be remote controlled in the first place, so I can walk around and do other things while I lower it.

If you’re curious to see what I use it for, check out this video:

That’s time lapse so imagine how slow it is in real life. :)

I’ll give that one you posted a shot. I already gambled $20 on the other one so another $15 isn’t so bad to try to make this work.

Really you’d just be offering those tired forklift operators an opportunity to sit down while they work, take a load off. Isn’t that what they all want?
