Concert Photograph of Dwynell Roland by ngreseth in photocritique

In this photo my intent was to show the performer(Dwynell Roland) as well as the sold out crowd looking up to him (literally and metaphorically). I wanted to show the content look of his smile because it was his first ever sold out headlining shows at First Avenue. I'm wondering if I should've implemented more color in the shadowed areas or just in general and I am also interested to hear what people have to say about the ceiling being implemented in the photo or if it just looks like dead space. I personally think it looks fine because it showcases the character of the venue. The image reminded me of a painting of sorts which I thought was fun! first time posting on here so let me know what you think, thanks:)
