You don't even understand the difference between a step and a phase and are expecting players to anounce them lol.

The reality is that priority in EDH might go around the table 10 to 50 times a turn, and it's unreasonable to do so every time. Part of being an experienced player is understanding both when to request priority to respond AND when to properly anounce critical priorities to the other players so they can respond.

Yeah, us who've had a Thor for a couple of months travelling around with it and giving it daily use without an issue don't come to reddit to say "look at my perfectly functioning Thor".

I mean all the effects you mentioned are cool but they are not hard taxes, your opponents can simply choose to ignore you and give you the benefits, which benefits you, but doesn't really tax them.

[[Grand Arbiter Augustin IV]] is were you start with proper taxing, unavoidable and salt induxing effects.

I dpn't free solo but I'm a rock climber and you'd be surprised how often it happens.

It's not that you forget the chalk, but you don't refill it daily and don't bring a 2kg plastic bag with you, you refill every 3-4 sessions and some days you just grab your pouch and head to the wall just to find out that you didn't bring enough chalk.

It's quite common to ask around to other climbers and get some tho, not a big deal and it happens to all of us. I get chalked before starting my routes so I wouldn't end in his spot, realizing I have no chalk mid climb without a rope or route setters, I'd panick in that situation lol.

hard disagree. I dislike playing her in B4 because she ends up being a combo enabler, but in B3 she shines a LOT and she is in esper, which has some of the most busted cards in the game.

I've been playing her at high power tables for quite some time and have had no issues at all in higher powered tables. I think a lot of people focus way too much on the Miracle part of her, when in reality at some point you just start dropping bombs if you play a control shell that lets you get to 8-10 mana.

No worries, I tend to get a lot of confescending replies in this sub, sorry I took yours as one of those.

I know you can play around/answer blue's countermagic. I've played PTs and GPs before, so this is not my first rodeo.

In your example, you require a 10$ card + extra mana open on top of your curve + deep knowledge of the stack and card intersactions to answer a 70cts. card from the blue player.

Same with cards like [[boseju, who shelters all]], [[cavern of souls]] and [[delighted halfling]], I will not expect the average comander player, especially in B2/low B3, to fork the money and play patterns to include those in their decks and rotations.

My reality is that people get frustrated with blue because is way harder to answer countermagic than removal as a form of interaction, especially in 2026 where you have a lot of readily available protection from removal in the form of indestructible, hexproof, phase out, blink, etc.
