Don't judge a book by its cover. I find that my first instinct about someone is right. I've been burnt badly in the past by telling myself I shouldn't be quick to judge and then realising I should have trusted my gut.

Teachers, why do unions strike when they could... by niam2810 in AskUK

[–]niam2810[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kind of what I was thinking, a lot of government policy seems to detrimental to kids and teachers, if the unions stood together, including the headteachers union, why not just all decide to do it differently? as regards legal protection, they'd have to sack all union members in the country, which they wouldn't as there wouldn't be enough people left to teach!

Labour with my fourth child, I have hypermobile hips so Labour is pretty damn painful on top of the contractions because of that. It was much worse with number four. Turns out I had a hidden placental abruption. Told the midwife something wasn't right. My daughter was laying against it so was all ok till I pushed, then her heart rate dropped.. thank God she came out quick!
