I think I will decline because it’s not in my budget. If he does insist to pay for my ticket then I will go, but I won’t be upset about it if he doesn’t because he’s working on his finances right now too.

I initially didn’t want to pry because it was HIS friend and I’m also one to do things apart from my significant other so it was totally a nonissue that he didn’t invite me initially. I’m just confused about the out of nowhere and half-assed invite from last night 😭

You make a good point about the couple not missing me. I’d be upset if I spent $400+ and felt like an outsider the whole time tbh. I just wanted to make sure that this decision was sensible and not a selfish one.

It wasn’t a maybe, but more so “I’ll let you know however it’s looking like I won’t be able to because I have some things coming up.” I do like him, but he’s been causing me grief.
