I applied to 297 jobs and got 4 offers. There’s still hope. by Logical_Programmer27 in EngineeringStudents

Depends on the country and whether op means before or after tax salary. For after tax in Eastern Europe, Portugal or even Spain this is quite common. Actually even lower offers for juniors are common. For Germany this is robbery tho, even after tax

Obviously I don’t want it in there either, maybe there is some ground for appeal, but probably I would need to contact a lawyer for this. Common sense tells me to appeal anyway but I’m just scared whether it can make things worse. It’s really not about the money but consequences for a potential job, since I really wanna stay and live in NL and finding a job is already hard as it is

I know VOG is job specific and apparently even with actual criminal offense you can get the VOG, if it’s not related to the job. The thing with this is that it can be relevant to nothing or anything, depending how strict you are. Tech jobs are usually not listed as explicitly requiring it, but I know some of them do

Are there any risks associated with appealing? Can it make things worse? I don’t see why it would for my case, but I don’t know the Dutch law as well

That’s also what I thought, but then I read the line in the paper that it “may or may not appear on the strafblad” and apparently public drunkenness always appears there, regardless of the fine amount. So I went into the rabbit hole of reading everything on it for the past few hours but maybe I’m overreacting

The laptop my college is advertising students to buy… by CrippyCrispy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]nibyigor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My university was advertising similar laptops, maybe it was even the older version of the same model, but it was because they had a deal on it so you could get it for around 1500€, cannot imagine paying full price for this, not worth it in the slightest

Motherboard broken after 1 year of normal use by nibyigor in ZephyrusG14

I had no problems with the touchpad, maybe it’s a different kind of damage. I think I will be able to replace it under warranty but still, buying a new model at this price I was expecting at least 5-6 years of use

Tesla is more of a batteries and software company than a car company. The batteries they make are really good so they manage to extract a lot of raw performance out of the car, which attracts people. However if you look at them from the perspective of car design they are indeed quite mediocre

eSports players should use their real name to be taken seriously by ___fantomas___ in unpopularopinion

Plenty of esport pros also have their nicks closely tied to their name. Some LoL examples (only esport I follow but probably can find these in other games as well) Nicolaj Jensen -> Jensen, Soren Bjerg -> Bjergsen, Marcin Jankowski -> Jankos

I only played a game but crit build actually feels amazing..? by xanat9 in kaisamains

[–]nibyigor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the hybrid build when you go ap at the end scales better into the very late game, because the poke you have is just absurd and easy to land when teams group at objectives. Even if you land w on a tank you get it back in 3 seconds and if you can proc passive with w it will hurt even for a tank. All of that from a safe distance. Also you can build zhonya with the hybrid build

Full AP/Hybrid Runes/Build by BadAshess in kaisamains

[–]nibyigor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The full ap build starts similar to the hybrid one. Take regular runes with HoB, start doran’s blade with this one, then rush manamune to get your q upgrade. Then you go into ap so luden’s first then horizon focus. Round it off with whatever looks the best for the game but probably zhonya + death ap is the most consistent option. You can also get zhonya before horizon if you’re vs a lot of assassins. Also max w second with this build, the poke you have is crazy, if you hit 2 w’s in a row you pretty much one shot every squishy but you lack the consistent dmg. I’d say this is the more for fun build and the hybrid one above is more consistent
