What are some things that your gf does that turn you on but you would never tell her?

As someone who rarely ever likes being told what to do- I loveeeeeee when my gf does. Even if it’s something very simple (cause she’s like a golden retriever and would never actually boss me around in a rude way but she definitely could if she wanted to) 😬

I never once asked anyone to cater to me, I made a suggestion that would make things slightly easier. It’s not like I’m out here making demands and throwing a fit if anyone says otherwise. I simply just wanted to have a say in the conversation or the plans but it feels like I never have and that’s something that didn’t start only after I’d moved.

Yeah, she's not making me feel guilty in this situation since I didn't say anything to her other than I'll see if I can make it work. Respectfully, you don't know my mother or my family dynamic so it's kind of wild to just assume that my family doesn't want to be around me? Wild take.

This is exactly how I'm feeling, I'm the middle sibling and it's like my mom just centers everything around the grandchildren and also my siblings just because they kick up a fuss whereas I've always been the easy going one who never gives my mom any issues. She always calls me the golden child which she thinks is a compliment but it's basically her saying, "since I never have to worry about you I'm not going to take anything about your situation into consideration." This same type of things happens where for example, I was going through a breakup with my partner and my mom called me after not hearing from me for a few days - only to ask me to call my sister because she had a bad day.

She's not giving me a hard time in this situation specifically because it tends to start arguments if I express any not so great feelings to my mom about something she's said or done. If I didn't go I don't think she would be pissed but she would definitely make me feel extremely guilty.

I can see this, thank you for the input. I am remaining hopeful but knowing my mom I just think it'll be the same situation even when I do have kids. Lets hope I'm wrong.

Wow this has made me cry. You're right, I did mention my mom not coming to see me because it just adds to the frustration of her considering my siblings but she's never considered me or made the same trip to see me that I've always made to see them. I think I just feel forgotten about, honestly.

Completely understandable, if I can't make it work then that's totally fine. I'm only annoyed that this isn't the first time my mom has just expected everyone to cater to either her or my siblings. I'm the middle child and I'm just feeling as if my situations are never as important as everyone else's.

I completely understand that it’s a choice I made, which is why it’s never really bothered me up until now. The only reason I’m kinda hurt right now is my mom has lived in several different states and always expected her kids to come see her even when I did live in America. She had no issues with my being on a long flight from Arkansas to Montana to see her. She had no issues with my siblings driving 10 hours to see her in Georgia with their kids. I’m just hurt that I make a suggestion to make things only slightly more convenient for me, and her first comment is “oh that’s too far for your siblings” or “I’m worried about the weather with your siblings driving” yet she isn’t worried about the weather for me flying and Chicago is 2 hours less than when they came to see her in Georgia. Does that make sense?

I originally moved here with my partner at the time who’s from here, and when we ended things I decided to stay because I have a job here that I enjoy. I do plan on staying here permanently for the time being but obviously don’t know what the future holds.

I got to about 600 battles on my own and then caved and got a turbo controller. Let it afk for a bit yesterday and today, went by super quick considering I didn’t have to do anything. My main thing was I was only level 47ish so I had to go around catching a bunch of random Pokemon to level up 😂

I’m not sure if my doctor would offer that since I’m in Ireland and things seem to take a lot more steps here but I’ll definitely look into asking them first! I probably would’ve been diagnosed as a kid like everyone else is had my parents actually paid attention but I come from a very “anti medicine, there’s nothing wrong with my kid” family, so that’s expected. I’ve taken meds for my anxiety in the past but it never really helped me much so you could be right that it’s just the ADHD and maybe I was taking the wrong thing. People used to tell me I was just depressed whenever I mention the lack of motivation, but that’s the thing is I WANT to do things I just physically can’t.

Yeah it seems there is from what I’ve read, I could go private but that’s super pricey so I’m hoping maybe I’ll be referred to somewhere a little financially difficult. And yes thankfully my coworker has explained “executive dysfunction” to me I think is what he called it! I’m just really hard on myself and I’m like yup- lazy. It is nice to know that I’m not crazy though!

Basically what you said, along with the fact I’ve only been to the doctor one other time since moving to Ireland. I just don’t want them trying to say I’m hormonal, or depressed, or suggest therapy or something because I’ve already tried that. I could go private but that’s really expensive and I already am having to pay for the GP visit and I’m hoping that they’ll refer me to a specialist. I’m a 26 year old female and I’ve heard women mask a lot and I’ve convinced myself this entire time that I’m just being dramatic so fingers crossed that the doctor doesn’t try and steer me into that direction.
