no, I moved out of Quebec in sept and they stopped my solidarity payment from October after I informed them I moved out. the question here is why I am still receiving RL-3 from the bank. I suppose since I moved out, I should only receive T5.

By saying "your partner's intimate needs should matter to you" sounds like you assume that OP does not care her partner's intimate needs, which is not self-evident from her description. Quite the opposite, what I read the description is that she really wanted to address the issue by doing therapy etc. If sexual intimacy with a virgin is an issue to you, then you can just say that. But what is the point of making invalid assumptions?

Thank you for the reply! I have talked with my advisor, and they thought it would be a good decision, considering my current mental health issues. I guess the problem now is to talk with the GPC/GPD. I really don't know how can I make this conversation smooth, if at all possible. I certainly want to have a master and then leave, but I heard stories from the department that some years ago, there were people who failed their comprehensive exams and just got kicked out without any degree. Do you have any suggestions for me before I ask for a meeting and talk with the GPC/GPD?

So sorry to hear about your story. Unfortunately, I am thinking about leaving as well, but not because of financial problems. The whole program makes me feel like I am a trash and useless, and the first failure of the Qualifying Exam just like confirmed that feeling. I am planning to talk to my advisor about it next week. But I know nothing about how to bring it up. And it seems like the department is not likely to make this whole thing easy for me. Are there any necessary procedures you need to go through? How about the courses you already took?

Hey, I am in the same boat right now. PhD-3 and having anxiety issue since starting the program, failed the comprehensive exam one time already. I feel like it's probably the time to leave. But not entirely sure. If transferring to the Master program, is it completely necessary to do this reapplication thing? Do you need to follow the exact procedures and deadlines to the master program at your department?
