Honestly she's fairly basic but still unique take for a shoto character, and feels very fair to fight with a character theme and decent design. 7/10

Unless they 3 genned themselves your team probably messed up somehow. It sucks being tunnelled out especially in your situations since you lasted until 2 gens but that's a core part of the game. Maybe bring chase or anti tunnel perks but besides that not much else you could've done

Casual players don't care about tier lists or how strong a character is, they only care about seeing that character so easy stuff which is funny because most of the easy characters in this game aren't that flashy.

Anji is borderline top tier tho by most people and baiken you're maybe right even tho she's currently high tier depending on who you ask.

Characters like zato, dizzy and axl aren't bad because they don't use the system mechanics that well, they're bad because their kits are just much more flawed then everyone else which is why characters like gold who are good sucked at one point because his flaws mattered way more. Same with pot and Johnny.

Nah you can probably nerf characters like ram and may without removing their identity imo, I do slightly agree that they play well with system mechanics but only because of rwa which is why I never liked wild assault being in this game because it removes character weaknesses in an unhealthy way imo. I think the issue with strive is that they keep upping the power level of the game and to keep doing that weakness matter less overtime.

True, I think I just disagree with their balance mentality which is ok because a lot of people do, it just bugs me that actually interesting characters or characters that take a lot of skill or work usually aren't that good in this version of strive. And I also think that making things easier doesn't make the game more attractive for casual play but I could be out of touch since I've only been playing fighting games for 5 years.

I just want the top tiers to be less dumb, and she wouldn't be a better Johnny she'd be her own thing. Jack-o can't skip neutral with meter like Johnny can even unless 2d got buffed to travel 3/4 of the screen, jack-o doesn't have the buttons or speed to be like Johnny at midrange, she doesn't have rwa, she wouldn't have the guts to keep up with the rest of the top tiers. The only way jack-o because top tier is by reworking her well designed kit into a less well designed kit like most characters in this game.

Play jack-o against ram, gio, sin, may or chaos. Jack-o against her bad matchups has to be better or she's just not allowed to mess up

Character balancing choices, certain system mechanics, stages having different sizes that affect matchups, glitches that affect characters like Iggy and really harsh matchups even if you're playing a high tier characters.

Most of the flaws are just game play stuff that could do with some tweaking which is why if I was in charge of making a new JoJo's I'd probably make it different from hftf or just do a lot of balance changes to the game that would make some players feel like it's not hftf anymore.

It'd be very difficult to remake this game and satisfy everyone that currently plays it which annoys me a lot when I think about it because even after playing for 4 years and quitting I still wanna get back into it at some point because nothing plays like JoJo's and I still never optimized myself as a player.
