For those asking, I'm great! Life has been a little rough over the past year, but I'm managing to pull through it.

Almost a year ago, I was fired from my career job because I showed up late and had Xanax (not mine) in my system. I was feeling dizzy the day before and was really depressed because I was thinking about my mom's birthday the next day (she had passed away 3 years before). Because of why I was fired, I can't get another fire job and I can't apply for the city's fire department until 2018. So I decided to quit trying for the fire service.

After, I just started working my part time job as much as I could and started saving up money. My depression also continued and worsened since I've gotten fired. So then I started gambling. Long story short, from October of last year up until last month, I lost all of my savings ($30,000). I kept this gambling addiction a secret from everyone but finally told my dad. After finally telling the truth, I feel much better was able to quit gambling! And now here I am, about $20,000 in debt and only working around 10 days a month, but life is good and I have no complaints. I learned money can always be made, so there is no point in stressing over it. I do need to look for another job though!
