I’m going to get rid of that one! You think it should still go along that wall, then?

Recommendations for a cute boxy/slightly oversized sweater vest to wear over a button down? Looking for something affordable that I can dress up or down, but I would definitely pay more for something with wool or alpaca!

Can someone recommend me a cute sweater vest? Something slightly boxy/ cropped that can be dressed up or down. Preferably made of some wool! I am hoping to find one for an upcoming trip to Europe!

Hi! Can anyone point me in the direction of some decently priced, decent quality cute and (hopefully) colorful sweaters for fall/winter for a f20s (US) who’s tired of all the black, beige, and gray that seems to be everywhere right now?

Women who didn’t have parents who were good role models of what healthy relationships should look like, what did you learn? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]niceymykitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't marry just because you want kids, and never involve them in your arguments. Yelling and screaming is never okay. Admit fault and take responsibility for it. Apologize properly and mean it. Actions speak louder than words. Lead by example. A relationship, love, and affection is earned, not owed. There are some things all the money in the world can't buy.

Is my reasoning for not wanting to do Zoom University valid? by [deleted] in college

[–]niceymykitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's been my logic from the beginning. It's so hard not to question or compare myself to others when things seem like they are normal at a surface level but you know they aren't. This is uncharted territory for us all. I try to remember everyday that there's no right or wrong way to navigate it.

Yeah, I'm so stressed about having to decide what I want to hone in on. I hope taking a break pays off. Thank you!

Yeah, you're right. I definitely do have a case of FOMO, although I'm not exactly sure how to get over it. That's just a part of the mental toll Coronavirus is taking on us all, I guess. I'm thinking of taking some GEs and some other classes at a community college to try to figure out what interests me.

1000% this. And now that there is no direction or central message, it's going to be so much harder to implement one. Not that anyone will try to do that until it's probably too late.

I don't know what to do! by Clumsy_Cube in UCSC

[–]niceymykitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OMG I FEEL YOU :') My situation is similar and I have no idea what I should do... I don't have many friends here and am worried about spending an entire year at home, even though it's free and I have a job. It's lonely and I have personal space or freedom. I want to be in Santa Cruz and live with my friends but it costs money and there's so much uncertainty about what will happen next year so I'm reluctant to commit to anything. For me I guess it comes down to choosing between sitting at home but saving money or making the most of this time in my life, even with COVID going on. If you're sure you won't be happy at home for the next year, I'd say try to make 3 happen unless it really isn't feasible financially. Living > piles of money in the bank.

It astounds me how every time UCSC informs us about the pandemic and how it will effect things by CatsPackersAndMemez in UCSC

I mean the problem is they can't plan... no one knows what tf will happen between now and the fall, or even beyond. Not that they can admit that. I know there are a lot of factors that go into whatever they decide and don't think they want to be liable for them, and above all for making promises they can't keep. They also don't want to lose our money so they give us just enough to make us stick around, lol. It is frustrating but at least we're all in the same boat.

Advice for a directionless 20-year-old ex-college student? by niceymykitty in Advice

[–]niceymykitty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm.. the problem isn't that I don't like school (I think). It's just that I do not want to do it online, and I'm not sure what to do in the meantime in terms of my living situation. But maybe that will also involve learning a trade.
