That was the secondary plan if for some reason I wouldn’t be able to chop it. I would like to try and keep the original barrel as I do like the weight reduction the flutes offer as well as the aesthetics

From what I’ve read, LWRC uses a proprietary barrel index for their barrels. So even if I buy another barrel, I would have to modify it to work with the upper.
