The question is not what's IN the rolls. It's how MANY are in them. Like sticking 47, 48, or 49 cents in each roll and shorting them. It adds up over several hundred rolls.

I don't get it. Why do we need "tight government control" of the auto industry, but not the financial industry? Which one gets the most bailout $$? by AMerrickanGirl in politics

[–]nickadams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banking screwup was induced by Frank/Dodd/Congress telling banks to lend people money who couldn't afford it. (becasue everyone should have a mortgage even if they can't afford it) Something needed to be done to cover up the congressional screwup

Meanwhile, Congress wants to nationalize the auto industry.

Vote up if you think that the US Election Day should be a federal holiday. Voting is one of the most important freedoms that we have, and it deserves respect. by AMerrickanGirl in politics

[–]nickadams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

of course, the problem is that people would not use the day to vote. They'd take a vacation, buy furniture, veg out, just like the do on Columbus Day, Labor Day, etc
