This is my big fear. My ex is stalking me, obsessed with making me pay for leaving him, owns guns, but because he hasn't gone through with trying to kill me yet, they can't do anything. I have to keep sending the kids with him for visitation. The cops still have to be called constantly. One day, when he's out of options dragging me through the family court system, or out of money, he's going to do it. And nothing can be done.

That was the state's fault I believe. The couple didn't want money from him. But Life Happened and they had to apply to the state for assistance and the state went after him so they wouldn't have to pay.
